Nah, they mostly voted for him because he fed their fears about immigrants, people of color, the radical commiesocialist liberals, guns, the LGBTQ, Muslims, the war on Christians, etc. He appealed to their idea of a strong man that would protect them from all the aforementioned. Simple minds need simple solutions.

I guess we see Trump very differently then. In my view, there's nothing unique about what Trump ran on or what he said. I feel his appeal is mostly how he did it.
