They have triggers and go"bang".

I doubt there is much question that she's in favor of them.

My guess on MTG's 'most fave-must have' handgun? A couple months ago Marj was all aglow over the Honey Badger Pistol. She was actually giving one away.

Quote:

"I'm giving away the Honey Badger by Q because it's the gun in the crosshairs of gun grabbers all across America," Greene said. She also noted that it and most other semi-automatic weapons would be banned, registered, or regulated under legislation in Congress supported by Democrats. That bill, H.R. 127, she said, ďwould require Americans to register it, so tyrannical government agents can confiscate it in the future.Ē Washington Examiner link

I'd bet MTG would be singing a completely different tune if her children had been wounded or killed in a school shooting using an assault rifle.

I doubt it. Her response would probably be more along the lines of, "If my kids had been armed while they were in school then this would never have happened. I blame the gun-grabbing Democrats."

And she'd probably mean it.

No, I don't think she'd mean a word of it.

What you posted is almost completely wrong.

All that was changed was the specification of the powder in the ammunition to use up large stocks of existing powder.
It changed the characteristics of the ignition impulse and made the cycling of the gun unreliable. Plus to save money cleaning kits weren't issued.

You're probably right. I forgot momentarily that MTG doesn't think like a rational person but like a right wing gun loving whack job.

I mentioned it in this thread way back in the beginning. Did a quick google search and found nothing. So no I don't see it as an assumption much.

Update:
I did a Google search for 'marjorie taylor greene on steroids' and got nothing. Bing does give results. But no, until now I'm the only person I've heard mention it. Good to see it's out there. I guess. Maybe I'm ignoring the subject too much.

I was thinking that gun nuts are going to be more likely than the general US populace to be on steroids.

But there is something not right about MYG in particular.

From my reluctant observations, I'd say that the guns are their steroids.

How long now before they call themselves the Greene Shirts and we see them trying to goosestep?

Would it be appropriate to just come right on out and say what most lefties are likely thinking even if they don't say it....that most people refusing the vaccine are likely Repugnican voters... so what was the problem again?

If QNuts like MTG and Boebert don't want to get vaccinated, let them. The planet could do with having less people like them.

MTG is a money-grubbing, lying, attention seeker who couldn't care less about anyone else. She's just another mini-Trump. The FDA approved the emergency use of all three vaccines. Not mentioning that is not an oversight on her part.

I've lost any sympathy I would have had for someone who dies from or has long term problems from contracting Covid if they chose not to be vaccinated (except for a medical condition that prevents it). In all honesty, I hope MTG and those like her get Covid and spend some time on a respirator. You reap what you sow.

Been saying that for a while now. All the fewer MAGA voters now, and in the future. Problem is that they will take a bunch of non-MAGAchuds down with them, especially children.

Perhaps a better solution I have seen proposed is that for vaccination-refusers, their medical insurance companies should be able to deny them coverage for COVID-related outcomes. That includes claims by other people they infect. So they are on their own for all medical liabilities. The same as for drivers who refuse to wear seatbelts then get extra-hurt in car accidents. The price of their "freedom" is not free.

The 5% of the US population that has compromised immune systems disagrees with you. The point is to get rid of the community spread, not protect yourself only.

Your argument is the same as theirs.

Unless of course it was all a joke, then nevermind.

So what do you suggest? Forced vaccinations? That isn't going to happen. All this screaming from idiots like MTG about people being forced to get vaccinated is just fear mongering. Can you honestly see the SC, especially this SC, finding forced vaccinations Constitutional?

That was my first reaction to NA's post. But the inclusion of insurance denial to those "claims by other people they infect" is especially not well thought out. There are people out there who cannot be vaccinated due to allergies to them or other health reasons and the vaccine is not 100% effective.

CNN just reported that ALL 120 June Covid deaths in Maryland were unvaccinated. Frankly, I have a very hard time feeling sympathy for them if they were unvaccinated by choice. But I guess they were "just over Covid".

I wonder if their families, especially if they are not vaccinated either, are also "just over Covid".

I have a friend in South Africa whose parents are both ill with Covid. Her mother, thankfully, has just been released from the hospital but is still testing positive. Her father, who has dementia, is on a ventilator. She now is taking care of her mother even though she is not vaccinated either. She isn't unvaccinated by choice; it was just unavailable. She is hoping she can get it by next month.

I think a lot of the legal dispute is going to be about who can require it as a condition. Can employers require it of employees in order to work, can schools require it of students in order to attend. Can places of business require it of customers, can airlines require it to travel.

This is exactly right. There aren't going to be forced vaccinations - although the military may be an exception. Don't we have like 5 vaccinations that are required to enroll your kids in school? And the Houston hospital just won the case brought by the 153 employees who didn't want the vaccine.

You don't have to deny insurance - increase the premiums like we do with dangerous drivers.

And could you tell me what health reasons other than allergies prevent someone from getting the vaccine? I honestly don't know.

Similar to a discussion I had on another forum - choosing to not be an organ donor may be due to religious reasons. What religion? People say that but have a hard time backing that up. As far as I know, all religions support donation. Are there religions that don't support getting a Covid vaccine? Maybe JW?

*Shrugs* It's pathetic we've fallen so far as a society that we have to run a "Freedom versus Security" trolley problem on a bunch of walking plague blankets.

"Freedom" has to be more than sad, pathetic "You can't tell me what to do, I'm gonna poke myself in the eye with this sharp stick just to get back at da gubernment for telling me not to" contrarianism.

Considering the recent history of employers' rights vs. employees' rights in the US, this one would seem like a slam-dunk. Employers can fire people for almost any reason, or no reason at all, in a lot of states, so why not this one?

To prevent this, they'd have to write an "unvaccinated" exemption into the law, just as there is for gender or race.

Seeing as how many vaccine exemptions are religious, there pretty much is.
