To be fair, there is far less of that thinking among the Feds, and it would be they who will deal with any insurrection-minded rednecks (see Waco and Ruby Ridge for previous examples).

In today's Daily Beast:

According to documents provided to NBC News, Greene has spent more than half of her $174,000 [Congressional] salary on mask fines in her first year in Congress, paying out more than $88,000 from her paychecks. First-time offenders of the House mask mandate must pay $500, with each subsequent violation totaling $2,500. Greene has railed against the House mask mandate, filing a lawsuit last year alongside fellow Georgia Republican Rep. Andrew Clyde over the mandate. In it, they accused Speaker Nancy Pelosi of using the order to attack her “political opponents,” according to The New York Times. Greene has proudly proclaimed her opposition to any form of COVID-19 policy, saying she is unvaccinated and would fight for the rights of those who choose not to be vaccinated. Daily Beast
Not vaccinated, refusing to wear a face mask AND opposed to "any form of Covid-19 policy." She's very bright, isn't she? :(

I'm not convinced that she isn't vaccinated. As for the rest... carry on!

Some people would rather have negative attention than no attention. I think we all could identify some of these...and they're not all in DC.

But she told Steve Bannon:

If she IS vaccinated then that would mean...she's a liar. ;)

Of course she also told Bannon:
Quote:

I'm an American. I can choose what I want to do with my body.
How does she square that -- Americans have the right to do what they want with their bodies -- when she also believes (or says she believes):

I bet she'd get lots and lots of negative attention if she got very sick from Covid. I'm surprised she hasn't tried it yet.

The reason MTG doesn't get a headache also is obvious: There's nothing to have a headache in.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Thursday compared vaccine mandates and cards to a Nazi "health pass" in a Telegram post mirroring holocaust-related COVID-19 rhetoric that landed the congresswoman in hot water last year. "This past year the Democrat's obsession with vaccine cards proved they are like the Nazi's who forced people to carry ‘health pass,’" Greene, R-Ga., wrote. "It must end!" Fox News link
A Republican congressman from Ohio made the same comparison last week for which, Warren Davidson, has issued "sincere apologies."

It's not all peaches and cream for EmptyG-
Quote:

Polarizing Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene faced criticism from some of her own constituents during a Wednesday radio and cable TV appearance [on local TV station UCTV in North Georgia]..."I just want to say, 'Thank god for Joe Biden,' " one caller said, adding that they felt Greene was "an embarrassment to the state of Georgia." Elsewhere in the call-in portion of the show, another listener lambasted Greene for refusing to accept the results of the 2020 presidential election. "You all refuse to accept Biden. You refuse to do it," the caller said. "And maybe we didn't like Trump, but he won and so that was it. You all are not — you will not — accept the fact that Joe Biden won. And that is the whole thing."

Greene, one of former President Donald Trump's most loyal allies in Congress, has previously falsely claimed that the election saw "MASS voter fraud on a scale that should terrify every American regardless of political party." People report on MSN

Now she wants to kick the Hollywood film industry out of Georgia.

Quote:

Marjorie Taylor Greene wants to kick the $9.5B Hollywood movie industry out of Georgia and said, “I don’t think we should have invited those people here to begin with.”

Georgia is home to several movie studios. The Walking Dead and parts of Marvel movies have been filmed there.

newyorkguy 29th January 2022 08:01 PM

Greene is truly an imbecile. In addition to wanting to kick Hollywood out of Georgia she said a) the Port of Savannah is the nation's third busiest port (I think it's fourth) and b) she wants to keep "China out of Georgia." Only guess what?

Quote:

China’s place as Georgia’s top importer — a position it has held for decades — has only grown more solid. Last year it accounted for more than one-fifth of all the imports coming into Georgia, according to the international trade division of the state’s Department of Economic Development. Of the $98.9 billion in goods Georgia imported last year, $20.2 billion came from China, more than double the next-largest supplier of goods, Mexico. In contrast, Georgia exports totaled $38.8 billion, $3.4 billion of that bound for China.

After years of tough talk about China, and import tariffs begun under the Trump administration, what has happened to Georgia’s trade deficit? It has widened. As retailers rushed to stock inventories in advance of the holiday season, the national trade deficit reached a record high this fall. And so did Georgia’s piece of it. Yeah, let's get rid of an industry that has brought thousans of jobs and millions in taxes to Georgia. Really Smart Move.

She can as long as ~40 of the population think that intentionally falling for her con will tweak the libs.

Cartoonist will have a field day with her "let's kick Marvel out of Georgia" statements.
MTG might do more damage to Georgia then anybody since Sherman.

Norman Alexander 1st February 2022 02:46 PM

Let her keep doing this unopposed. In fact, make sure her demands and exploits are known far and wide in Georgia, to every last state resident. Then if anyone follows through and the Georgia economy tanks as a result, they will know who to blame...Biden. ;)

I am reading that her Anti Hollywood rant might be aimed on traditional resentment the people in far North Georgia have agianst the rest of the state.
If she was running for statewide office, her "Let's get rid of Hollywood in the state" would be sucidal, but in the backwoods part of Georgia she lives in......

More emptyg at the Catoosa County 'Town Hall,' held in Ringgold last week. She'd like to "Build a wall around America and tell everyone else to leave us alone." Either that or dynamite.

Is that her event display system? A cheapie laptop wired to a big old hot projector? I could get both those for under $100 at a pawn shop, and that's AUD. So what else is she using all those millions of dollars "donated" to her cause? Beer??

Frankly, I don't believe she REALLY wants a wall around the USA or Washington, or around anywhere. Just a lot of blowhard for the local rubes, 200 of which managed to find this town hall. And the "dynamite" comment from the hall? I'm betting ten bucks and a case of beer brought that on from a local plant. ;)

MTG in an interview with Alex Jones is asked, "Can we get you to run for president in the next few years?"

"In the future we will definitely see what happens," Greene replied. "I'll see what the people think about something like that."

The rest of the article is just her usual inflammatory nonsense. But run for president? You know, because she has been such an effective representative in congress, right? The crazy train just keeps circling the tracks it seems.
