Trump Tweets

Sleepy Joe Biden has spent 47 years in politics being terrible to Hispanics. Now he is relying on Castro lover Bernie Sanders to help him out. That won’t work! Remember, Miami Cubans gave me the highly honored Bay of Pigs Award for all I have done for our great Cuban Population!

An endorsement from the Bay of Pigs Veterans Association, not an award from Miami Cubans in general. He's used this lie before.

Quote:

He said that, before the 2016 election, Cubans in Miami "gave me the Bay of Pigs award. Can you imagine, right? The Bay of Pigs award." Trump got an endorsement from the Bay of Pigs Veterans Association, not an award. The endorsement was unprecedented from the association, so Trump could fairly boast about it. But still, an award and an endorsement are different things. (Trump claimed in August to have received an award from the Log Cabin Republicans, which told CNN it gave him an endorsement but not an award.)

Chuck Todd asks Ronna McDaniel how this isn't a failure of the U.S.?

McDaniel: "Well, if Joe Biden was president--"

Todd: "But Joe Biden isn't the president."

McDaniel: "He was running for president... and I don't think this should be laid at the feet of Pres. Trump."

“He was running for president, and he had the same data and the same information. And while Democrats were trying to impeach this president, this president was taking decisive action. So I think it’s disgusting to take a crisis in our country and try and lay it at the feet of the president.”

That's the full quote.

It's "disgusting" to expect a leader to take responsibility.

This is the quintessentially American response to any kind of criticism, pushback, or just being given a disappointing answer to a question. Find a way to be the biggest victim ever.

I’m just imagining how this scenario would play out in the workplace.

“It’s not my fault! Blame the person you interviewed for the job but didn’t actually hire!”.

Something to keep in your back pocket for anyone who works for a Trump supporter.

The impeachment was... well it was over before it started but it was officially over in February 5th.

COVID had only been in the states for a couple of weeks at that point. Even if Trump needed to cry over a carton of Ben and Jerry's for a solid week to get over how mean the Democrats had been to him he could had reacted before it turned into a full outbreak.

But again this is all a red herring because Trump's supporters don't care how well he handled COVID. Trump was not elected to make things better.

As far as Democrats was concerned, it was over before January.
What came after was the Senate Trial.
So if Trump wants to blame anyone, he should blame Mitch.

There is clear guidance from two cases from Hawaii in WWII that US citizens, in the US cannot be put in military proceedings while the civilian courts are still open and functioning. Unfortunately, it's unclear if there are any circumstances where a US citizen can be put in front of a military tribunal in the US.

https://digitalcommons.law.yale.edu/...80&context=ylj

There's not even any agreement on if the term "martial law" is legally meaningful. If it is meaningful, it's not clear the president has the authority to declare it. A decision by SCOTUS during the Korean War says only Congress has the authority. Sadly, most of the main constitutional questions on these cases were never ruled on because they were moot by the time the case made it all the way to the Supreme Court.

After Trump's flirtation with the Insurrection Act, it seems clear Congress needs to get to work next year on clarifying this.

Assuming that all the Democratic congresspeople aren't locked up at Gitmo. Or dead.

What Democratic Congresspeople? Congress has always been 100% Republican. It's always been that way. Republicans have been the only party in America for decades now, don't you remember?

Not sure if this is an incisive comment, an attempt at humor, or a real-life example of the Mandela Effect.

On winning a third term
"We're gonna win four more years in the White House, and then we'll negotiate, because based on the way we were treated, we're probably entitled to another four years after that"

On a purported antifa sympathizer being killed by US Marshals

The first woman Trump mentions during his rally is Donna Brazile, the audience responds by chanting "lock her up!"
Trump responds by calling for Hillary Clinton to be imprisoned and that "Her lawyers should go to jail with her"

Only today did I see that Kushner told Woodward that if he wanted to understand Trump, he should read “Alice in Wonderland.” Kushner specifically singled out the Cheshire Cat who uses endurance and persistence, not direction, as his strategy.

Kushner also said, “The most dangerous people around the president are overconfident idiots."

I did more in 47 months as President than Sleepy Joe Biden did in 47 years! #MAGA

Just signed a new Executive Order to LOWER DRUG PRICES! My Most Favored Nation order will ensure that our Country gets the same low price Big Pharma gives to other countries. The days of global freeriding at America’s expense are over...

...and prices are coming down FAST! Also just ended all rebates to middlemen, further reducing prices.

So, just out of curiosity, what kind of pay do you think re-education center employees make? Is there a uniform allowance?

We They don't think the remuneration is as important as the enjoyment and personal fulfillment we they get from the work.

In his constantly increasing stupidity he probably means either that he has some strange, of course not existing 'right' for 4 more years since the pesky Dems tried to impeach his 'innocent' ass or he plans on replacing key positions in the justice system so they will 'decide' that he is totally eligible for 4 more years since the pesky Dems tried to impeach his 'innocent' ass. :)

The only silver-lining is that there is zero chance of Trump surviving 8 more years (hell I wouldn't put even money on 4 more) and there isn't an obvious successor to take the throne he's trying to build for himself.

The good thing about cults is they don't survive the deaths of their leaders.

At least with Trump gone, they won't be unified under one leader anymore. They will be just as bigoted, authoritarian, and insufferable, but maybe just a tad bit less visible and vocal.

No. It merely assumes that the planes have electronic communications capabilities, which is obviously true. For example, the military might be able to use GPS to send more than just positioning data. If so, that has nothing to do with the internet.
