Trump's Treasury Department has been withholding millions from the FDNY fund for 9/11 illnesses. It has taken years to get an answer, and the answer for why is that an entirely different department of NYC has a dispute with the feds over medicaid funds. Which, for some bizarre Treasury has been taking from the Hero fund. You know, because cartoonish evil is too boring so turn that knob to biblical evil.

Call me cynicle, but I have to wonder what these middle East states are hoping to accomplish by making deals with Israel at this point.

Are they trying to boost the re-election prospects of Stubby Mcbonespurs (thinking he is a useful idiot and it's better to have him in power than a democrat, who might actually work to reduce oil consumption and hold authorian states to account)?

They're doing it so they can buy F-35 jets. More specifically, the same model of F-35s that we sell or plan to sell to Israel and the NATO allies. Congress has put provisions on military sales that we favor Israel over any potential adversaries. We sell the Gulf States weapon systems, just not ones with all the bells and whistles that Israel gets.

The Kushner boy is pushing to sell F-35s to UAE based on the fact that they are now no longer potential adversaries of Israel what with normalized relations and all.

The logic is of course flawed. We had perfectly normal diplomatic relations with the Soviet Union for the 40 or so years we had thousands of nukes on a hair trigger pointed at each other.

Can anyone explain this to someone who usually consumes ethanol in the 3.7% to 4.5% range?

ETA: I have some imperial stouts that are between 10% and 12%, but I’m saving them for special occasions.
