They might if they complain too much about Trump doing it.

Which, to be fair, doesn't make us different from pretty much any other nation that has been involved in that region of the world.

Yeah, but it's kind of a shame when that's the only sort of defense there is to offer.

Kind of a shame, crimes against humanity...potato, potato.

If you want the history of the Middle East..and it's mindless tribalism in a nutshell, remember the scene in "Lawrence Of Arabia" where Omar Sharif shoots an Arab of another tribe because he used his water hole.

Just noting that I was totally wrong on this one. But I do find it curious that as things get more serious in the White House I don't see him on the news much right now.

The Great Zaganza 8th October 2019 08:30 PM

Looks like Perry has unrecused himself from resigning.

GOOD LORD, conservatives have a shallow understanding of history.

The 1962 film ?

You are aware that this is a work of fiction and represents the attitudes and mores of the time ?

Perhaps he doesn't want to be all alone under the bus?

Perhaps the administration needs to keep him on a short leash?

Perhaps he finally remembered the name and purpose of the DOE?

"I read it online" is just the updated version of the older "I saw it on the TV."

ETA: but then also the first to object to the concept of mediated input influencing opinions.

Fairly accurately,also.
I have no patience with seeing "third world peoples" through rose colored glasses, and blaming everything on "the Imperailists". I am not denying that Western Imperalism made the situation in the Mid East worst, but saying the people in the Mid East have nothing to do with the mess it is in is silly.

If you're interested in the history of water wars then there's plenty more to choose from than just tribes in the desert of the Middle East.

There's one going on right here in Australia right now. But that's fairly off-topic.

Yeah, I know. We had a few pretty brutal scraps in the American West.

I think what just happened puts Rudy back into play

Basically two of his assocites were arrested last night at Dulles International Airport with one way tickets out of the country three hours after an meeting with Rudi, and they had a court appreance scheduled today...…

Nothing supicous about that, folks...

Maybe, but people don't really tend to get fired by Trump for being unethical or even committing obvious crimes. As long as Rudy stays onside, he can shoot someone in the middle of 5th Avenue and still maintain his relationship with President Sewer Runoff.

Until Donnie decides that Rudy is hurting more then helping. And this might just take it past that point.

He also apparently had a one way ticket to Vienna too.

Elaina Plott

@elainaplott

Scoop: Rudy Giuliani was also planning to head to Vienna tonight--one day after Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman were trying to do the same with one-way tickets.

Oops!

Yeah, if that's true then it's another personal lawyer down for the Donster Monster.

dudalb 10th October 2019 04:23 PM

GOd, Trump will have employed more scumbag lawyers then Wolfram and Hart....

pgwenthold 10th October 2019 04:42 PM

It's almost too bad Rudi didn't bolt. As it is now, he claim deniability. It's nonsense, but the suckophants will buy it. But if he had runoff, what could they say? The heat got to be too much? But you'd have to admit it was heat.

Hilited: I assume you mean "back in play" as to the topic of this thread, e.g. "next to be cut loose".

I disagree. Rudy's dangerous enough when he's on your side. Rudy turning against you would be dangern. He's let out more secrets inadvertently in pressers than Assange did intentionally. Rudy defending Rudy would be a wrecking crew on the news shows.

"We did nothing wrong. Well, of course we wanted to get some of the Ukrainian money into the re-election effort. Wait, no we didn't really do that. Well, yes we did. No we didn't. Except when we did."

The Great Zaganza 10th October 2019 09:15 PM

No one maintaining a joined defense agreement with Trump (like Manafort) is truly fired.

Norman Alexander 10th October 2019 09:24 PM

If Rudy gets arrested, as it appears he just might, that's yet another administration employee just one degree away from Donny who has been ****-canned.

Of course, Don will try to skate past all this. "Rudy was always a bad lawyer. I never believed anything he said. Always gave me bad advice which I, with my infinite wisdom, ignored. i think he ended up just fetching coffee and Diet Coke.

But hey! I'm all about creating new jobs! One just opened up here in the White House! Any of you guys like to be my lawyer?"

Is one of the perks, the chance of free accommodation paid by federal funds?

Craig4 11th October 2019 03:41 AM

What's funny, is Rudy never needed any of this. His one major accomplishment, guiding New York through 9/11 is going to be a footnote in history. He will never be anything other than I figure of cruel, hurtful fun. On 9/12 the nation loved him. Now he's a joke. He should have left the party much earlier and secured his legacy.

This is what is sad, really.
As one person said, "From America's Mayor To Trump's Chump".

Why? Did he want to **** her?

Yes, the above is in poor taste but I'll bet it's an accurate representation of the tone the Dump will take if he mentions her.

dudalb 11th October 2019 01:31 PM

Rudy is now the subject of the same criminal investigation that got Igor and Lev arrested.

WOW!

As for Rudy - I think he will last forever - though he will wind down, someone will pull the string his back, like I used to do with my Woody Woodpecker puppet.
