Or as the 'Straw Man' said in the Wizard of Oz:

For myself, I'd expect retaliation against the big player social media entities. Surely FB and the Twit would be on the chopping block, though how they'd bend the law and constitution to do it I couldn't say. Won't stop them trying.

Who the **** is "predicting the future?"

Her trolling happened in the past and is currently happening in the present.

The Capital Insurrection actually happened, it's not some theoretical thing we're talking about maybe happening if things don't get better.

I await yet another round of trolling with no answer, no point, and no actual response.

Maybe the government should nationalize these service providers to ensure the social good. Some sort of National Socialism policy, we can work on the name later.

potty mouth is not a replacement for information.

you still haven't said what the Republican agenda actually would be except in the most general, least informative way.
Which supports my belief that you have no idea what the GOP actually stands for.

Get Outta Politics? (I know it doesn't, but it should.)

bruto 5th January 2022 10:44 AM

I imagine an honest Republican could say outright that the goal is to abolish democratic voting rights, glorify pollution, make the two party system a sham, establish a theocracy and reverse recent advances in human rights. Of course that's kind of embarrassing to say outright. So they settle for name calling, waving their Bibles, refining the tone of the supremacist dog whistle, and alleging that anyone who disagrees with them is a communist, a traitor and a fool.

They're doing pretty well at it, and with luck it will get them in and they can continue with the worthy and thankless task of making the lives of their opponents as unpleasant as possible on what remains of the earth's dwindling life.

Since you can't get an answer (shock I know), how about what the folks on the right would want to happen. I'd love to hear it because as I said before, all they seem to do is hate the left while offering nothing.

What do y'all want the Republicans to do if they regain control? Make a list.

Stop being intentionally and deliberately wrong and evil for the sole purpose of getting back at a lie-based false version of what the Democrats are by destroying the very country.

When exactly did it get so bad that that's some sort of unreasonable expectation?

It may have begun with the Iran-Contra scandal. They found they could pull off this kind of **** and Democrats couldn't do anything about it. It's been a slippery slope all the way since.

In the chess game of US politics, one side is trying to play according to the rules of chess. The other side is playing pigeon-chess and has nearly covered the board in rank guano. The MAGAchuds are cheering for the pigeon - they think that's how this game is played.

MTG? She is the guano.

If we're stepping outside of constitutional law, "hate speech isn't free speech" is still an equivocation. "Free speech" is a human rights principle, not a flavor of speech, of which "hate speech" might be distinguished from.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Tuesday floated resorting to using the "Second Amendment" to deal with Democrats who are imposing what she described as a "tyrannical" government.

While speaking with right-wing media personality Sebastian Gorka, Greene slammed Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams for her policies regarding both vaccines and gun rights.

Greene then pivoted to talking about how Americans are guaranteed the right to bear arms to resist such supposed tyranny.

"Ultimately the truth is it’s our Second Amendment rights, our right to bear arms, that protects Americans and give us the ability to defend ourselves from a tyrannical government," she said. "And I hate to use this language but Democrats, they’re exactly -- they’re doing exactly what our Founders talked about when they gave us the precious rights that we have.”

Yep, the founding fathers gave us the 2nd amendment so we can protect ourselves from the tyrannical government.

But just try shooting a cop who busts down your door while serving a no-knock search warrant at the wrong address and see how far that gets you.

Nope, wrong. It's prescription anti-parasitic medicine here in Australia. From what I can see, it's same in Canada and the UK. In fact, Ivermectin is specifically banned from distribution as a COVID treatment in Australia, particularly the veterinary product. For obvious reasons.

So has she been buying her **** in Mexico? Where overseas has she been lately? And I wonder what she thought she was sold? Toothpaste with a different label, perhaps?

Regardless of all this, she is STILL peddling medical nonsense to the public. So she should be prosecuted for practicing medicine without a license.

To someone as stupid as Greene, Mexico is overseas.

carlitos 11th January 2022 08:59 PM

Speaking from a lot of experience living and working in Mexico, something to help you poop is not what you need to get at the farmacia. I learned how to ask for Lomotil at the pharmacy myself. Mexican food plus ivermectin sounds like it would be debilitating.

I keep wondering does Greene have two brain cells to rub together to make a conscious thought, or is it just one dying brain cell bouncing off the walls of an Empty Skull?

Is there any point where this woman can say enough to get herself in trouble? I know if I said what I truly think about her I could be arrested. She is dangerous and I can't believe we have to tolerate this.

They're also the face and voice of the modern GOP. :(

It'd be one thing if their views were completely at odds with those expressed by the majority of Republicans, but they aren't:
  • Donald Trump is the undisputed leader of the GOP - Check
  • Democrats are left wing extremists - Check
  • The 2020 Presidential election was stolen when millions of illegal votes were cast - Check
  • Any steps to curtail the spread of Covid, including vaccination or mask wearing, are unacceptable - Check
  • "Second amendment solutions" are an acceptable way to address political differences - Check

Worse yet, 40%+ of the US electorate agree with them. :(

I have a gut feeling that number is wrong, in a number of ways.

40% of Republican voters, maybe. Or at a stretch, 40% of eligible American voters who actually do vote regularly. Neither of those is near 40% of the whole US electorate.

And 60% disagreeing with them does not equate to 40% agreeing with them. Stats and lies...

On the other hand, if a voter looked at the potential candidates, saw one was a racist con-artist who gave away state secrets (i.e. Stubby McBonespurs himself), or a local GOP congress critter who is more than willing to enable the likes of Trump, MTG or Gaetz, and still said "I don't want to vote", then it is a sort of tacit approval of the republican actions.

What Ole Lantern-Jaw misses is that her 2 amendment people will get all shot to **** should they attempt this stupidity. They're not going to hide out in the piney woods guerilla-style, living off the fat of the land and Jim Bakker meals while they insurrect. What would happen would be some meth head will sell out their location and superior firepower and technology would then settle their hash.
