I disagree . I think Barr is angry that Trump keeps spilling the beans and insists on doing in public things that should be done behind closed doors.

Maguire out as acting DNI, evidently he told the truth about Russia. [emoji635]

OK, who are going to be the people who are going to scapegoated for the Coruna Virus outbreak?

China, Obama, the deep state, and congressional democrats have already taken some of it.

But for the purposes of this thread: Pence and that guy who claimed he was in charge of the task force at the press conference.

What is the latest date by which POTUS has to decide whether or not to keep Pence on as his running mate?

I have no idea. But this appointment was not a good thing for him.

The day they do the Veep nomination at the convention, presumably.

Delphic Oracle 6th March 2020 01:45 PM

Well given the electoral college don't have to follow what their state's certified results indicate, he can just make up his mind in the first week of December, really.

I looked this up for another thread, and there are 51 answers. In Michigan, the VP nominee is determined at the state convention, which occurs after the national convention.

Realistically, it would be at the national convention, but that's not technically the time.

dudalb 6th March 2020 03:11 PM

Trump just tweeted that news stories that HHS Sectrary Azar was out of the loop on the Corona VIrus and was being blamed for the outbreak are "fake news" and he and Pence have every confidence in Azar.
Given the fate of others Administration officials about whom Trump has said that, Azar is dead meat for sure, only question is timing.

Not that this couldn't have been predicted:

Mulvany out as C of Staff; sycophant Mark Meadows is in.

d4m10n 6th March 2020 06:43 PM

Mulvaney, out!

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy! It's a good thing that Trump surrounds himself with only "the best"!

The Great Zaganza 7th March 2020 01:17 AM

Meadows will have a hard time being a greater kissass than Mulvany.
But he is the perfect emissary to Northern Ireland....

Puppycow 7th March 2020 01:40 AM

Reason??

Did Mulveny offend the Mad King?

Puppycow 7th March 2020 01:54 AM

Apparently he had "fallen out of favor" for reasons like coughing during the president's press conference.

According to Wikipedia and the agency itself, Mulvaney is still director of OMB. How does that work when he's in Northern Ireland?

It takes awhile for Twitter diktats to trickle down IRL.

The schadenfreude when a filthy piece of Trumptrash like that disgusting little leprechaun learn that they aren't special and they weren't immune from being the toy the petulant toddler wouldn't grow tired of is exquisite.

d4m10n 8th March 2020 09:06 AM

If you think that was some high-octane schadenfreude just wait until the title of this thread stops being metaphorical.

Trump endorses Sessions' opponent in Alabama Senate primary

He displeased the Mad King. But we already knew that.

The irony is that Sessions was one of the very first Republicans in congress to endorse Trump.

With multiple people in the White House exposed to the Coronavirus, the term White House Survivor might revert to its literal meaning...

I got a sick feeling Dr.Fauci might be on Trump's hit list. Yes, Fauci is civil service, but, let'
s face it, if the President wants to get rid of you, he can find a way.

Obama of course, he already was the one who is to blame for insufficient testing ability.

Giordano 11th March 2020 12:40 PM

It may be more like ETTHS: Everything Trump Touches He Slimes.

Of the the many mysteries to me is how anyone considering cozying up to, or working for, Trump cannot know this.

dudalb 11th March 2020 01:04 PM

I remember Bannon saying he was sort of a Thomas Cromwell to Trump;ie, somebody who gains power by doing the King's dirty work.
Too bad Bannon forgot what Henry the Eight ended up doing to Cromwell.

I was going to post the same thing. Dr. Fauci appears competent, confident, and has no problem with contradicting (correcting) many of Trump's false statements. I don't know if he falls under Trump's thumb, but I'm sure he's really pissing him off.

Not exactly a White house departure, but significant regardless...

From: https://www.politico.com/story/2019/...nt-gop-1444836
Rep. Will Hurd of Texas, the only black Republican in the House, won’t seek reelection in 2020... "I have made the decision to not seek reelection for the 23rd Congressional District of Texas..."

Gee, I can't understand why a black republican would have any reservations supporting a party that was headed by Donald "Neo-nazis are fine people" Trump.

I sure hope Bolton is aware right now that when retribution comes looking for who was responsible for aiding and abetting a global pandemic into the USA that all fingers will be pointing at him. And that he is ******** himself.

Trump, on the other hand, won't care a jot if everyone else goes under the bus but him. Even his veep and his family.
