I've heard that sentiment phrased as "Conservatives would crap their pants if it meant a Liberal had to smell it."

“The Trump Century, How Our President Changed the Course of History Forever”. On sale tomorrow. A great book by an even greater author. Make Lou NUMBER ONE! Much better than the boring, no new info., Woodward book. Besides, Lou is much smarter and sharper than Bob, by a lot!

"A forest nation"? Endor? Lothlorien? Are there any countries in reality that would describe themselves in that way?

I think not even Trump thinks he will be in office for the next 100 years.

I don’t think Trump is qualified to say whether someone is smart.

No but it may take that long to fix the damage he and the Republicans have done to the country.

Your false hope optimism is admirable.

When it comes to dealing with the Trump Dump, I think we should take a page from the book of the man himself:

write the USA off as a lost cause, declare bankruptcy, ditch all creditors.
Then, start over with a new shiny name for the enterprise.

Generally, it's more "I have benefit X and Y. Person 1 is like me, and has benefits A-Y. Person 2 is not like me, and wants us both to have benefits A-Y, statring with person 2 getting benefit Y. I would prefer that nobody get benefit Y, that would make me happiest."

This also relates to my favorite new version of "fair;" this is when someone points out a system is unfair and the "solution" from the person who benefits from the unfair system is make another fair system but keep the unfair one and act like that makes everything fair.

"Bill I can't help but notice that you steal my paycheck every month."
"Ted as a compromise I'll only steal your paycheck every other month. That's fair."

Q: Who do you think poisoned Alexey Navalny in Russia?

TRUMP: Uhhhh ... we'll talk about that at another time.

Trump introduces Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and the crowd boos him!
"He's opening up," Trump says, to try to placate the audience.

Trump says the election is a choice between him and Communism!

"I like Putin. He likes me."

"We have F-35s that you can't see," Trump says, seemingly still confused about the fact that stealth planes aren't literally invisible

"It's hydrosonic. I call it super-duper."

Andy_Ross 21st September 2020 03:36 PM

"I'm so angry at Republicans. I am so angry, they spied on my campaign, we caught 'em. And by the way, that's Biden, that's Obama, it's treason."

He's really going bonkers at todays rally!

Did he say Republicans and not Democrats or is that your typo?

Trump tells his story about how he asked Blackstone chief Steve Schwarzman about Hunter Biden's dealings in China and Schwarzman agreed it was shady.

Schwarzman's spokesperson has said he has never spoken with Trump about either Joe or Hunter Biden.

Now he's telling his unending story about why steam power is better than electric power for big military ships.

Trump is supposed to be delivering another speech in Ohio in less than an hour but he simply refuses to stop rambling in Vandalia

Andy_Ross 21st September 2020 03:59 PM

APparently if you throw a glass of water on an electric catapult on a carrier it's the 'end of it' and you need to bring 'a guy in from MIT to fix it'
The 'catapulters' told him. He asked them, they told him "Sir, electric is no good, sir steam is the best, I can fix it with a blowtorch or this hammer"

Perhaps that's a clue to the nature of this bizarre presidency: Trump is actually from an alternate, steampunk universe. The things he says make perfect sense in the context of what's happening there, it only seems crazy to us because this is not the correct universe for Trump.

That would explain all the gaudy brass crap he fills his hotels with. And he already has his own airship.

His crowds don’t understand him any more than sane people do. Never have, never will. They just assume he is saying things they like and agree with because he has more money than them. To those crowds rich people are smart.

All President Trump has to do in order for the media to applaud his performance is not to visibly soil himself. Even a racist rant would result in him being applauded for "pivoting to presidential".

This wouldn't be the case if Biden or his campaign managers knew how to counter that crap instead of just whining about it.

I've been working on taking the scene from "Full Metal Jacket" with the Vietnamese sex worker and putting Trump's head on the prostitute and Putin's head on Mathew Modine's character.

It's possible he thinks he's still doing that. There's probably someone at Area 51 right now building a crappy giant robot so they can show him Battletech and hear him leak it to the Japanese.

The sad saga of thoroughbred D.J. Trump, Donald Trump’s lone foray into horse racing

Quote:

D.J. Trump had everything a young racehorse needed to become a champion: great genes, a wise trainer, and an owner with deep pockets. But then, as the story goes, the horse’s casino magnate owner made an ill-informed, impatient decision that nearly killed the horse, ultimately costing the thoroughbred its front hoofs.

Trump agreed to buy a horse, never ended up paying for it, and damn near killed the poor thing because he insisted on racing a sick horse.

Just sticking this here because it's indicative of how absolutely nutty the Trump Republican party has become:

This is an ad for Kelly Loeffler. To be clear, it is an ad BY Loeffler to make herself look APPEALING to voters, and NOT like a crazy person.

Trump the Eugenist repeated his "good genes" belief at a rally.
His audience doesn't realize that he was calling most of them Untermensch.
