If the Democrats are smart, they'll make dozens of ads with Trump's unkept promises, his egging on violence, and his divisiveness, I don't think the Veterans are better off, show that. And show Trump with his gold toilets claiming how good the stock market is, next to the unemployed and people not surviving. Show all those closed for good businesses. Show those two people in scrubs holding off Trump supporters. This stuff is marketing 101. It writes itself. |

I hope they remember that and don't fall into the show every minute of Trump rut. |

@JenaGriswold In Colorado, we take double voting seriously and refer all suspected cases for legal enforcement. If it makes sense, I will include @realDonaldTrump in the referral for prosecution. He may not have presidential immunity anymore depending on the election. |

If by standing up for them, Trump means deregulating their employers in ways that have caused a significant increase of outright worker deaths, before getting to everything else, then sure. That's not before even beginning to touch things on the COVID front, for that matter. |

Update on a slightly old matter.
Jamal Khashoggi murder: Saudi court overturns five death sentences 7-20 years, supposedly, now. Ahh, the joys of pardoning the people who committed brutal murder at your orders. Not unexpected in the least, really. |

Don't know if it's been posted yet, apologies if it has:
"Trump insisted he hasn't said a vaccine could be ready before November, although he said so repeatedly and as recently as Friday. The president then proceeded to say what he had just denied ever saying. “What I said is by the end of the year, but I think it could even be sooner that that,” he said about a vaccine. “It could be during the month of October, actually could be before November.” https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world...?ocid=msedgdhp |

No wonder they are putting stamps on Business Reply Mail (postage is suppose to be paid by the business). Got my latest Trump survey the other day. The envelope had an address like window but it was over to the left and the address was printed to the right on the envelope itself. Prominently displayed through the window were stamps affixed to an envelope. That envelope appeared to be a normal, but upside-down, Business Reply Mail envelop. It was the standard 'number registered just to you' donation solicitation 'survey'. Least they didn't try to portray this one as a census. It had the usual 'if you can't donate at least send $15 to process your survey response. The usual stuff but the new and hilarious thing were the stamps, that not only were intentionally displayed through the window of the closed envelope but were repeatably refereed to in the enclosed material. Several repetitions of the fact that the return envelope was 'live stamped', ensuring a rapid return, were made. It was three one cent stamps, so even the live stamping wasn't that alive. On a Business Reply Mail envelope no less. Now it's not unheard of for someone donating to put stamps on the Business Reply Mail envelope they are sending the donation in, to help deffer the cost of the postage for that organization. However, they put these on themselves and made a point of it both in the initial visual presentation and in the documentation, but could only scrape together three measly cents for their showboating. It'd be a farcical joke if this three penny opera wasn't the current presidents campaign. |

I expect that the only times Trump has ever stood up for an American worker was when one of them was sliding his chair back for him after he finished dinner. |

On Sunday, Aug. 6: When asked on Geraldo Rivera's radio show if a vaccine could be ready by Nov. 3, Trump said, "I think in some cases, yes, possible before, but right around that time." https://thehill.com/homenews/adminis...d-election-day |

Again we're just supposed to believe that the entire world, including countries we aren't exactly on the best terms with, are just going along with the "Covid Hoax" in order to screw with the American election?

In yesterday's press conference, trump said "A friend of mine said you have to be the most innocent, honorable man to ever hold the office of president." and then repeated it a minute or two later.
If that happened, it was probably Lou Dobbs, but I highly doubt trump has friends. |

When a vaccine is announced I expect that President Trump will get a positive approval number for his handling of Coronavirus. If it subsequently turns out to be less available, effective or safe than billed then his approval will take a hit but that will likely take several weeks to work out. This is why I expect a vaccine announcement within two weeks of the election and I expect it to be a significant factor in his reelection. |
Quote:
I'd also note that Trump's approval rating specifically on the virus had no meaningful change in the week after he announced the EUA for convalescent blood plasma. News about the virus doesn't seem to impact Trump's approval rating anymore. |

Furthermore we need to look no further than Ralph Waldo Emerson to find the perfect response. “The louder he talked of his honor, the faster we counted the spoons.” ETA we’ve reached the point where he is now saying he is better than Lincoln and Washington. Also, “he repeated it a few moments later” deserves a heavy eyeroll. |
