No.

When they say Members of national assemblies and national governments, they mean either and not that you have to be both. In Norway, and I assume many other countries, you can't be both.

It would also exclude USA, as you can't both be a member of Congress/Senate and be a member of the president's cabinet.

And they do get lots of nominations. So far this year, they have 318.

Tucker Carlson reportedly blamed Lindsey Graham for persuading Trump to talk to Woodward. Right, so...

1) They're not going to blame Donald Trump for being a blabbing idiot. The blame goes to an informal advisor.

2) They're giving Trump a pass for his lies to the public.

Even though this is not at all surprising, it's still infuriating.

Not how it reads. But I will accept your explanation.

And I'm surprised, but paradoxically not surprised at the same time, that no Republican US congressperson or senator thought to nominate Donny for a Nobel. It had to be a right-wing Norwegian politician and sycophant.

Which woulf be great, had he tried to mitigate the problems, or the disease itself, and if he hadn't centered his reelection campaign on racist fear-mongering.

As it stands now, he not only failed entirely to stop anxiety over the virus, he only made everything worse by abdicating, lying, and so forth.

Even though my workload obviously isn't as heavy as that of a president, I still won't sit for 18 interviews with a rapidly fading journalist who already wrote a boring hit piece about me.

Multi-dimensional chess, no doubt about it.

Bob Woodward had my quotes for many months. If he thought they were so bad or dangerous, why didn’t he immediately report them in an effort to save lives? Didn’t he have an obligation to do so? No, because he knew they were good and proper answers. Calm, no panic!

No, Vindman knew the call itself to the Ukrainian President was “perfect”, but also knew the whistleblower report described the call incorrectly, way off. Why didn’t Vindman say so? That’s why Shifty didn’t want the whistleblower to testify. A big scam!

I don't like his tie.*

*After producer George Martin had been ripping the Beatles apart for how bad they were at their first recording session with him, he offered them a chance to say if they thought anything should be different, and George Harrison said, "I don't like your tie." Martin thought it was very rude until he realized that Harrison was joking, which then put the band into "Beatles mode" and Martin wound up laughing so hard that he said the inside of his collar was wet with tears from laughing.

Trump Nobel nomination is a forgery! Police investigating.

Quote:

Moreover, the forgery appears to have occurred twice: Olav Njolstad, the secretary of the five-member committee, said it appeared that a forged nomination of Mr. Trump for the prize was also submitted last year — and was also referred to the police. (The earlier forgery was not disclosed to the public at the time.)
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/28/w...omination.html

"Inspector Rune Skjold...said that investigators had been in touch with the F.B.I. ...which suggests that the forged nominations originated in the United States. He said the police believed that the same perpetrator was behind both forgeries.”

Yes, that's interesting. Really interesting.

It does increase the chances that Trump will be punished if/when he loses the election, though, doesn't it. I mean, he wouldn't have to worry that his dementia would be too far advanced by then.
