Alex Jones running for President in 10 years is exactly as insane as how crazy it would have sounded to hear Trump was going to run for President in 10 years, 10 years before he did it.

I'm sorry where's the bar exactly on where I'm supposed to go "Oh yeah that, that's the point where it's too crazy, obviously."

Alex Jones running for President in 10 years is implausible because I really doubt a man that large and beet red is going to still be alive.

Dude seriously looks like ****. His heart is going to pop sooner or later.

Note that the quote was phrased oddly. It was Alex Jones asking MTG if she would run, not vice versa.

Nah, they mostly voted for him because he fed their fears about immigrants, people of color, the radical commiesocialist liberals, guns, the LGBTQ, Muslims, the war on Christians, etc. He appealed to their idea of a strong man that would protect them from all the aforementioned. Simple minds need simple solutions.

*Shrugs* Answers still the same on how "crazy" we're supposed to take it as.

Cause Purity works for crazy same as an other ideology. They will turn on Trump for being not crazy ENOUGH and move further down the line.

I guess we see Trump very differently then. In my view, there's nothing unique about what Trump ran on or what he said. I feel his appeal is mostly how he did it. As I've said before, MTG, DeSantis, and Bobert are pale imitations because they can't pull-off Trump's particular brand of charisma and "humor".

What charisma? What humor? We must have totally different ideas of what constitutes charisma and humor. IMO, he has as much charisma as a roadkill opossum and his humor is of the middle school, stupid bully variety.

Consider who he's needing to be receptive to him. There is something in his manner that fits perfectly for who he wanted to energize. I've heard the phrase, 'A poor man's idea of a wealthy man, a stupid man's idea of a smart man.' and that rings very true to me.

Exactly. His target audience finds him funny, engaging, and charming for some reason. I don't get it, but that's how they talk about him.

Greene goes after Karl Rove in a Washington Times op-ed:
{Below is a not a 'quote.' it's the entire 'article.'
Quote:

Why does Karl Rove want to send our sons to war?
What populism and 'America First' really mean
By Marjorie Taylor Greene - - Wednesday, February 2, 2022

Karl Rove is, once again, beating the war drums. He is ready to send 18-year-olds like my son to fight nuclear Russia over Ukraine’s border so that he and the other neocons can talk like tough guys on TV. On Jan. 28, Karl Rove shared an article on his Twitter page written by Noah Rothman attacking American populists who are opposed to sending our troops to war with Russia.

My view is that Mr. Rove despises “America First.” He loves war and the global economy that all these wars prop up. The fact that he wants to send 18-year-old Americans like my son to fight nuclear Russia over Ukraine’s border — again, so he can talk like a tough guy on TV — makes me sick. He can put on the uniform and go fight the Russians himself. Mr. Rove is part of the consultant class that is never held responsible for the failed product of their decisions. It is only the American people who suffer the consequences. Washington Times link

Actually, the article Greene refers to -- written by Noah Rothman an associate editor of the conservative news magazine Commentary -- contends that support for the Ukraine against Russian aggression actually has widespread bi-partisan support.
Quote:

A Pew Research Center survey published this week [Jan. 26, 2022] found that there is virtual bipartisan unanimity in this country over the potential threat a Russian invasion of Ukraine presents to American interests and the need to prevent that outcome. Indeed, Republicans are slightly more likely than Democrats to understand what’s at stake. That poll found that only 9 percent of Republicans viewed Russia as a “partner.” Thirty-nine percent of self-described GOP voters labeled the country an “enemy,” and a majority called it a “competitor.” Similar shares of Democrats and Republicans describe Russia’s military buildup on Ukraine’s borders as a “major threat” to American interests (26 and 27 percent, respectively). Another 36 percent of Republicans say these events represent a “minor threat,” joined by 33 percent of Democrats. Republicans are six points more likely than Democrats to say they know precisely how Russian brinkmanship affects U.S. interests. Link to article on Commentary dot org

What about our daughters? Maybe she could ask fellow legislator Tammi Duckworth, among others in both houses and across both aisles.

MTG went on the Alex Jones show on Feb. 2. They were in full agreement about the evil globalist conspiracy to do whatever. Klaus Schwab, George Soros, etc.

During the interview she kept referring to this America "compete" act that she was about to vote on as being a Pelosi sell-out to the Chinese, but when you look into it, the act was supported by at least 20 republican senators last year.

JoeMorgue 7th February 2022 11:41 AM

She's a fool, sent out to say things in a crazy tone of voice so we don't questions when other Republicans say the EXACT SAME THING in a saner tone of voice.

gnome 7th February 2022 09:05 PM

I bet this doesn't stop her from criticizing Biden whenever he DOESN'T act aggressively as well. "Oh look a reckless hawk. Oh look a spineless wimp!" swap back and forth as needed.

It's bait. A distraction. It's a silly, stupid, meme-worthy, point and laugh at the blundering *********** piece of showy stupidity for us to focus on while the boring evil goes unabated.

The Republicans are in open warfare on the very concept of democracy itself, but lookit someone pulled the circus monkey's string and she said "Squatternutbosh" instead of "Butternut Squash."

Good goddamn she is stupid though. I think it's a distraction, but I don't think it's an act.

That's silly. The statute of limitations on grand corn chip theft has been up for at least a couple decades now.

I agree, I don't think she's faking it. MTG honestly seems to be a moron fascist. No wonder she's so popular with the right wing base, all the pandering in the world can't compare to the real thing.

Agreed. MTG really is this stupid. She's too stupid to figure out why she keeps getting mocked.

Well that what she's complaining about isn't it - the Libs using their Gazpacho Police to spy on the GQP using phone Tapas?

Must be the Souper Seekrit Gazpacho Police!
