I've said it before, no real, actual healthcare plan that is an alternative to what we have now exists in secret. There are healthcare models available in the world. They are present in places like "think tanks" and academic journals. They have been argued about and debated by lots of people, with their strengths and weaknesses addressed. These are developed by smart people with expertise in this area, and the same is the case for the critics. If there were some awesome new model that could replace our current system, and cover everyone and do it cheaper, there would be people talking about it all over the place. There is no way in hell that Ivanka and Jared have solved it, and there is no way in hell that if they had, they would be hiding it away. "Who knew healthcare could be so complicated?" Besides everyone. |
Is Trump going to announce peace between Canada and the US next week?

I like that the Republicans think the Democrats have found a black woman to act as a sleeper agent to turn on blacks and women when she gets in power.
No Republicans finding the one member of a minority demographic that hates that demographic to parade about is your skill, not theirs. |

Why the heck would Trump have cause "to stand down at the inauguration" unless he lost? The previous assertion of Biden simply not conceding to a loss just doesn't cut it. It just came across to me as expecting Trump to lose and not "stand down". Two of my Trump supporter coworkers binge on this koolaid and are discussing how they are arming themselves for their expected fan/excrement interface. |
Biden speaking today
“Folks, the president's first responsibility is to protect the American people, and he won't. It's utterly disqualifying.” “Let me be clear: I trust vaccines, I trust the scientists, but I don't trust Donald Trump. At this moment, the American people can't, either.” Biden responds to Trump blaming him for the lack of a national mask mandate by correctly pointing out that Trump is in fact the president Biden points out the President suggested injecting bleach and nuking hurricanes But then, who among us hasn’t? |
Quote:
Fake News!! He suggested injecting disinfectant. He never specifically said bleach. ;) |
Seems pretty easy for Biden when the President says insane things about him. He just has to point out that he is not the President and doesn't say insane stuff.
|
Trump does seem to make it easy for Biden, to be sure. It's like being the sibling of a bully who respects no rules or boundaries and has no respect or compassion for anyone around them. All their sibling has to do is act like your average kid and they'll come across as a little angel to their parents.
I do think there's a lot to be said about Biden having a lot to gain from simply sitting reasonably still and not drawing too much attention to himself. Never interrupt your opponent while they're making a mistake, but be sure to point it out to everyone afterwards. |

Imagine Omar or Tlaib saying Israel is the country of the American Jews. Pundits on CNN, MSNBC, ... would dedicate at least two news cycles to it. But Trump? Yawn ... |

Trump just now "governors are the biggest threat to this election".
"I will put down any riots that interfere with this product, er, election." "Governors are a worse threat to this election than foreign government interference" |

Like Gov. Kemp of Georgia? Or maybe he does the "good" kind of interference?

The vaccine and distribution will be powerful, so powerful, extremely power. Power that will project power. Powerful, tremendously powerful. Soon.

Looks like there have been some more findings about DeJoy's performance. For example, Quote:

boredom. There is nothing actually new, nothing surprising about what he does. |

“What? The media reported my inclusion of Alabama, I need to send out angry tweets for five days. Oh, and get the top government weather guy to make a map or report showing that I was correct.” I think it was day 4 that he asserted that everyone who criticized him for including Alabama should apologize to him. |

In any case, even though there was a general agreement (though by no means a consensus) that Hillary beat him in the debates, it didn't seem to affect his support at all. Why bother to prepare in depth for debates when you intend to ignore inconvenient questions and instead parrot your favourite catch phrases throughout ? |
