MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell claimed that Trump would be back in the White House by August 13.

It's the first time he's put a specific date to the groundless theory.

The 2020 election, which Biden won, will be "pulled down" and the "communists" routed, Lindell said.

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell said he believed former President Donald Trump would take the impossible step of being reinstated as president on August 13.

Speaking to Brannon Howse on the conservative WVW Broadcast Network on Sunday, Lindell said that by that date Trump's reinstatement would "be the talk of the world."

"Donald Trump won," he claimed. "I mean, it's pretty simple, OK?"

There is no legal path for Trump to be reinstated, as Insider's Jake Lahut and Grace Panetta reported.

I don't get the reasoning. I am hesitant to say "insanity"... but it looks like insanity, to me.

That's because there isn't any- it's a purely emotive "we wuz robbed!" reaction from folks who cannot fathom the idea that their side simply lost. Since the whole idea behind democracy is that one side or the other must lose, it's certainly a danger when either side begins to base their brand on the idea that their loss is just not possible. I have no doubt a certain amount of insanity enters into Lindell's specific case, but that's almost irrelevant to the fact that his broader thesis is one shared by around half of the Republican party (Yahoo News), not to mention pushed by many irresponsible GOP pols eager to cash in on that stat.

I wouldn't put much faith in that 53% number, with only 754 Republicans polled. I actually find the "25% of all Americans" claim to be highly suspect, as well.

Yeah, Statistics is a funny thing that a lot of people don't understand, but looking at a population of 340 million, with a target group of about 50%, to get a confidence level of 95% and a 5% error level, you only need to have a sample size of 385 people. Having 754 is near enough to twice that number, which isn't going to change the confidence levels a lot, but does lower the error level and certainly exceed the numbers required for a valid survey.

(If you're unsure as to what the Confidence level and error levels are, then using the numbers you have with the levels I have listed, it would mean that there is a 95% chance that the real number falls between 48% and 58%)

ETA: Using the actual figures give in the poll, then there is a 95% chance that the real percentage is between 49.44% and 56.56%.

This is odd, even for the likes of Mike Lindell because 13 AUG 2021 will be on a Friday. Furthermore, this date also serves to undermine that Trump-O'Rielly speaking tour that they are supposed to be having during the late summer/early fall of 2021.

So I guess that when Trump fails to get reinstated on 13 AUG 2021, then Lindell will blame a witches curse, or the actions of evil Templar Knights, or the local black cat, or some such other nonsense for the failure of said reinstatement.

Of course, Cawthorn is a proven liar. He claimed his then best friend left him to die in the burning car crash that left him paralyzed. That is not true. Depositions from two witnesses of the accident said Cawthorn was pulled from the vehicle by his then best-friend.

Cawthorn also lied about the accident preventing him from attending the Naval Academy. In truth, Cawthorn already had been rejected by the Academy before the accident occurred.

I just saw two women at CPAC who claimed that non-Trump supporters were bringing in people to riot at the Capitol and claimed that 'we don't know who these people were' at the insurrection. Lindall is not even a good con mam ..in making a prediction, you NEVER give a exact date, just make it vague. You can keep saying "It will happen soon!" ad infinitum. Give a specific date, you are limiting how long you can keep the grift going.
