Only the nominations matter, not who is awarded the prize. Trump got three, count'em, three nominations for the peace prize. How many did them other schmoes get?!?!

Both, because I have my doubts about Tybring-Gjedde's ability to write coherently. As Hans mentioned, nominators are theoretically kept secret, so it's kind of a surprise that people like Matt Gaetz or Lindsey Graham haven't claimed to have nominated trump, but then when you are neck deep in one of the tightest sphincters in history, i guess it becomes less easy to concentrate.

Points taken, though one may argue that some lack of cognitive concentration must have been evidenced before, and thus by, the head/sphincter intercourse.

President Trump is also really upset at the lying liberal media for not reporting about the great honor he once received when his mother told him he was a very handsome boy.

Okay, let's take a step back here are really appreciate the absurdity of this re-tweet.

First off, it's a classic Conspiracy Theory echo chamber. Google the key phrases, and the only places you can find anything about it is on CT sites, that all reference back to each other. Google the name of the "whistle blower", and all you find is the same sorts of links.

So, we have the president of the United States re-tweeting classic CT bull ****. Not too surprising, he's done it before.

But consider this - if the CIA had information about this, which is implied by citing a "CIA Whistle Blower" as your source - why can't the freaking president of the United States provide a better link to the evidence than all the random CT echo sites?

Trump has the authority to find out the truth of what the CIA knows about this, and to declassify it in its entirety if he so chooses.

And yet, he chooses to re-tweet the typical CT bull ****.

As bad as it was having Colin Powell lie to the UN to justify the war in Iraq, imagine how much worse it would have been if Bush had just linked to a Truther site to justify the war.

That's literally the world we're living in now.

Classic President Trump - cutting through the hidebound Washington bureaucracy and finding a way to deliver first rate intelligence at no cost to the American taxpayer.

That's the kind of blue-sky thinking and business genius that the American electorate wanted when they gave him the biggest election victory (if illegal votes are discounted) and largest inauguration crowd in history.

He never quite specified, only speaking of multiple nominations. The inference being, based on the fact that he only referenced his middle east window dressing, that all were for the peace prize. Not that I wouldn't put it past Trump try to lay claim to any of the other, like economics in particular. Heck, given what he now thinks he knows about the corona virus, the medicine or chemistry might be in his sights for next year.


Naturally, I don't recall him even mentioning who the committee announced the peace prize award would go to 4 days ago.

Is that "aid" or dollars? For example, a military installation or NASA facility can bring in a lot of money but I wouldn't call itm "aid".

That's a very good point. I think it was aid; the article I got it from had both ways of looking at the data. I'll see if I can find it again.

ETA: I think it's funding. But there is high correlation between funding and "aid".
