Break down the numbers purely for the investigation of the scandal, and compare them to ACCURATE numbers for the INVESTIGATION to date on 9/11.
Just a note to say that I don't believe this would be possible to do. Conspiracists mistakenly cite the 9/11 Commission investigation as being "the investigation," and compare its costs to that of other investigations. However, "the investigation" comprised many different investigations involving tens of thousands of investigators and staffers: FBI, CIA, NSA, ATF, FEMA, FAA, NTSB, TSA, INS, DIA, NRO, SEC, NIST, ASCE, Defense Department, State Department, Congress, Inspectors General, U.S. Attorneys, police departments, failure analysts, medical examiners, DNA labs, fire departments, insurance companies, and on and on. And that's just U.S. organizations.
The true cost of "the investigation," which is ongoing, would be billions of dollars.
