To the OP, Patrick1000, I'd like to know a) how many people were in on the hoax, and b) who was the highest up the food chain who knew.

Well there was the Soviet space agency and the Soviet politburo, for one.

I'd still like to see an apollo-hoaxer explain the commies involvement in their own humiliation.

Who Is Fattydash?

I think it is important to respect the integrity of this site sts, so I will write this one post and not write any more about subjects, including personal type ones, that deal with content outside that of our thread here.

That said, in a sense your question is relevant/fair/pertinent, provided that it is not asked again. Actually, very fair I would say given my cribbing two of the long "Fattydash" posts to save myself the trouble of writing about common interests, given the somewhat shared/common approach to Apollo.

The "fattydash" posts were written by a GROUP of individuals, most of whom are members of a chess club. 4 or 5 are San Francisco based physicians, as am I. That is how I know about them. I also play chess regularly and very poorly I might add., Though strangley enough, I did extremely well in a recent club tournament for unclear reasons. There are probably 4 or 5 others, non docs, that participate some in writing Apollo posts. They are VERY tech savvy, especially one super high level programmer who happens also to be insanely good with foreign languages. I have never seen anything like it in my life and I was born, raised and live in San Francisco where it is not uncommon for someone to be pretty good with 2 languages in addition to English for one reason or the other. This person speaks 3 Chinese dialects, English, German , Tagalog, Italian. Not kidding, all well. He travels a lot and is the one that figures out how to "get back on" when they get kicked off. He thinks forum people must know what he's doing, hacking back in or whatever. No big deal to him. He thinks it is fun and that you all know how he does whatever it is he does to keep getting his friends back on from the hospital system or wherever. For a while, no one could get on BAUT throughout our medical center because of the ban. This guy "fixed" that. If registration is open for a site, this guy will more likely than not figure out a way to get on regardless of bans and other sanctions.

They work with computer programs to generate and vary their writing style. The language guy is responsible for this angle too and it is VERY COOL. The writing tool is actually a proprietary thing designed by the computer/language guy. I believe the cost for the software is roughly $5,000. I have one of the first MAC versions, #3, actually and I use it for foreign language study myself, but oc employ it also as a kind of high order thesaurus . That is the best way to explain it. You type a sentence and it gives you a menu of analogous statements from way dumbed down to insanely erudite. AMAZING! It also has language translation and other study capabilities depending. It is a very fun tool to play with and the guy is quite generous letting us in the chess club, and his friends elsewhere have the program to play with. Actually he has benefitted from my feedback with respect to the foreign language study application side of it.

The chess club docs have no grand overall design except to expose our local SF community and the larger community where possible to the idea of Apollo's possible fraudulence.

The chess docs, that's actually what they are called in our med center, take turns doing the postings more or less. Occasionally one guy takes over for weeks when the others are bored. He LOVES Apollo. This person has been doing hoax stuff for many years and is sort of responsible for getting me going as he has with many people in our medical center from lab techs to ophthalmologists. Not that HBs are all that prevalent, but the ringleader has a strong personality and I like him as do others. People respond to his gregarious and fun loving way. In our medical center, I think there are 5,000 employees, something like that, I can think right off of the top of my head of 20 people literally that read HB/NASA stuff from time to time and discuss it in the caffe' and what not.

Since this is the first last and only time I am going to write about this sts, not kidding, only time, I will say a bit more detail wise. On 2 or 3 occasions last May when some of us were playing chess I screwed around with the "fattydashers" when they were posting a few things as a group on BAUT and they incorporated into the posts my suggestions dealing with ocular physiology. I was sort of amazed with how well they were using the language guy's writing program. Another friend of mine and I laughed really hard watching the sentences go in and this extraordinary paraphrasing come out. The language specialist/programmer guy assumes on some level forum people know they are using this type of writing tool. I wish I could tell you why he thinks that sts, but cannot.

The group actually thinks they must be "known", their names and so forth to the forums which ban them because they often use their real names and don't believe it to be a big deal. I told them once , "No one cares about you clowns!" I got a big laugh.

Hope that is "helpful" sts. I will not say too much more about them except to say they are a lively bunch and they have my respect in a sense as they do have fun with it all and they are smart at times. They influence a lot of people in a small community sense way and as you might imagine, I believe it's in a good way. Just getting people to think more broadly is a positive..

What I have told you right here, they think you guys know this and much more about them already. They are writing a book, and sort of have a publisher, about medical based hoax stuff which needs a ton of work, but is a fabulous idea. They assume some of you have read some of the book. Have you?

I will leave this post here for others to read. That is all I know of "fattydash" that I can tell you. I am not kidding sts, If you come to SF, I will take you to the chess club sometime, hopefully when the language wizard is in town. I actually did that already with another guy who had challenged them on a forum site. He asked me to introduce him to them and they agreed. It was very crazy and wound up being a super interesting evening.

This post is for everyone and I will not post anything else of a personal nature on this site in an open thread. As mentioned, I thought your question fair given my copying the "fattydash" stuff. Others should know if they are curious. If you were to ask me to tell you more sts, I really couldn't. This here, in a sense, the chess docs and computer guy think you may know. Why do they think that? Do you know sts?

Personal message me if you do know. I emphasize, no more here. Pretty wild is it not?

PS, some docs write a lot depending on their role at work. I have a writing role at work. Just in case anyone was curious as to why this happens. It is like the air we breath. Ciao sts, best to you, Patrick.

PPS, "fattydash" is the name of the ringleader's dog. He is fat and fast too sts.

Snip pointless drivel.

So in summary:

You have changed again from ""I am a scientist of not insignificant abilities" to "a San Francisco physician".

You claim to set up accounts which many people use. At best a dishonest ploy, at worst fraudulent.

You claim to have some/many/most/all posts composed by a computer program, again at best a dishonest ploy, at worst fraudulent.

Despite the supposed expertise available in the group, none of you can figure out the critical nature of aperture in telescopes.

Despite the supposed expertise in the group, you got pwned on both ApolloHoax and BAUT by your intellectual betters.

Despite your supposed language app. you were unable to conceal your abject ignorance on the subject matter at hand.

Given all of the above, why should anyone believe this latest screed?

Given all of the above, why should anyone waste any more time on your gestalt member group?

Given all of the above, how do we know we are not responding to another of your claimed members? Or even a computer program (which I doubt exists anyway)?

This level of deceit and dishonesty has but one result.
Credibility, meet toilet.

I don't. I find that it is all too often artifically contrived and stilted.
Much of it is; badly written to 'prove' the authors point, whatever that is. However there's some good stuff out there, after all people having been writing it for two millennia.

Multiple people yet they all have the same writing style and attitude towards sock-puppetry? yeah right.

physicians, as am I.

there is no way i would belief that without seeing evidence.

i wonder what else you are in denial of, germ theory?

fattydash,

Evasion noted, as well as changing your story yet again. (Back to being a doctor now? What's next, going back to talking about your engineering expertise, or on to some exciting new profession? Why not go for Nobel-winning physicist? Or a Triple Crown winner who has learned to type with his hooves?)

Answer the questions.

Answer the questions.

That would mean he wouldn't have to go too far to get the content of his posts.

a) if it's proprietary, why would it "cost" anything? Perhaps you don't use that term in the correct manner.

b) if the software is capable of making you sound insanely erudite then why do all of your posts have a consistent style indicative of a moderately well educated subadult?

c) this sounds suspiciously like a bunch of hogwash I told a specific user at DIF a year ago as an experiment. (non- dif reading AH readers may PM me for details)

He keeps making up his backstory as he goes along.
None of it would have mattered if he hadn't claimed professional expertise.
Nobody cares who he is, just what he can proof.

Haven't seen an honest hoaxie in quite a while.
Honest in the sense of honestly believing Apollo was a hoax and honestly willing to debate it, rather then just pontificate and fabricate lies.

The Hoax Theory is dead.

"'It's a theory', he said gently, 'to the extent it was done with a pencil.'"

There never has been an Apollo hoax theory. There have been appeals to personal disbelief, irrelevant authority, (nonexistent) personal authority, unsustainable precision, ignorance, popularity, personality, fear, erroneous science, "common sense", "if I ran the zoo", general conspiracy, quote mining, and flat-out magic, but never a theory that explained the record, matched the way things work in the real world, or even really made any sense at all.

Generally speaking, most of what passes for "theories" are simply attempts to deny this or that bit of the record. There's no coherent narrative for how the whole thing would actually work, even if any of the claims actually stood up to examination.

San Francisco? I am in the Bay Area frequently, and I know several other forumites are there as well. My chess skills are somewhat rusty, but I would be more than happy to meet with these doctors, haul out a couple of scopes with different apertures and lenses, and demonstrate how each deals with faint objects of various types. Your doctor friends can demonstrate their software.

What say you, Patrick?

I thought you were gonna let us "save face" by moving on from your confused understanding of telescopes?

What's the name of that software, please, I'd like to look at it. I have 5 grand lying around and could use some help with my writing style.

Went to U.C. Berkeley, double major; Mathematics/Biochemistry, studied maths at Cambridge and received doctorate(applications of Galois to epidemiological stats). Returned to the states and ultimately went to medical school. I work as a clinician. I see patients. Still crunch numbers when asked, but prefer math now as a "hobby". I speak Mandarin, Cantonese pretty well and Italian very well. I come from a musical family. Mom was an opera singer. Love chess, play poorly. I am a pianist(contemporary music(blues/jazz/rock/pop). Still active musically. I am in my 50s. Came to Apollo studies late, within last year. Began reading intensively 3 or 4 months ago. Yes the "fattydash" story is real. Hope this helps. No more personal questions will be entertained.

LOL why on earth would anyone belief that?

For all I know, you might be a spotty teenager in your moms' basement with a gibberish generator or even a bored alien sitting in his UFO annoying the humans for fun.

There is just as much evidence for those as for your screed above.
(that's none at all, in case you missed the point)

Given your proven lack of credibility, if you claimed it was daylight, I would verify it with a light meter before I believed you.

Face it you deceit and dishonesty have shot your credibility to pieces on more that just this forum. You will have a hard time regaining it and an unevidenced diatribe like the above just doesn't cut the mustard.

As others have pointed out, you have credibility issues stemming from your own attempts to mislead us.

However, even if you were being completely honest with us (for once), there is no mention in your bio of studies in physics, astronomy, astrophysics, aerospace engineering or any of the sciences and/or technical fields that would be appropriate fields to determine the veracity of the Apollo landings.

Your claimed skills and experience are exactly as applicable to the subject matter of this thread as those of a janitor, bathroom attendant or kindergarten drop out.

Sure, sure. Here's my short bio: graduated from high school at 3, graduated MIT at 4.5, Harvard Law School at 5, passed the Bar at 6, but haven't practiced any law, MD from Yale medical school at 8, speak English, Assyrian, Aramaic, Swalhili, French, German, French, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Tagalog, and can admit when I am wrong.

Yes, yes, of course you did, fattydash/Patrick1000/DoctorTea/BFischer/Sicilian/mvinson/piersqaured/<and many other sock puppets>. We're all very impressed by the accomplishments of you and the rest of your intracranial cohort.

Yes the "fattydash" story is real.

No one believes you; you have already established a track record of dishonesty in many ways: by your own logic (inconsistencies => lies), and by your manifest record of lying on various boards to sign up sock puppets.

If your ridiculous "fattydash" story is real, then you also lied when you signed off on the Membership Agreement, which includes Rule 7. ETA: That only applies to this board, but the same rules exist both at BAUT and AH

No more personal questions will be entertained.

Ha, I forgot to add the key point: It doesn't matter even if the "fattydash" story is real, since it's what is written, not who writes it. fattydash<etc.>'s claims fail because, well, they're wrong, not to mention inconsistent.

ETA: I've only harped on the whole issue of honesty because fattydash has spent so much time prattling about the alleged dishonesty of others. I've had the privilege to work with people who made Apollo happen; fattydash isn't fit to sharpen their drafting pencils.

Stay Thirsty, My Friend.

As a former truther, you should be seeing a similarity now in they way truthers operate and the way Apollo hoax believers operate. Throw that in with Holocaust deniers and creationists, and viola--you have the conspiracy theorist mindset.

I won my first Indianapolis 500 at the age of 4, after which I was signed by Ferrari, and won 17 straight championships in F1 before the age of 15. I am fluent in 24 languages, including Navaho...which lead me to be drafted as a "Code Talker" during World War II...while simultaneously working on the Manhattan Project. After the war, I taught Elvis to play guitar and dance...then John Lennon stole my song book. During the 70's, I was a body double for porn star John Holmes while working on my 15th PhD from Stanford. I worked with the CIA and NSA in the 80's and 90's and was responsible for the fall of Communism. Lately, I've been chilling out as the voice of Steven Hawking....oh and the guy from the Dos Equis commercials calls me for advice on women.
