I do wonder why it was de-listed. Sites of that size and age are normally more resilient to changes in the google algorithm. A serp drop on keywords across the board is one thing if they were trying to game the SEO system and it was in essence fixed, but delisting is different.

It actually could have been caused by a third party. Spamming low quality, blocked, porn etc related links in mass back to their site could cause negative SEO and who knows, maybe could have caused the delisting. Still somewhat odd overall.
