Before I went to Cuba more than 20 years ago, even I had the suspicion that the stories I heard about oppression in Cuba in the media couldn't just be made up, could they? 'No smoke without fire' and all that.
So I can't blame people who come to believe what they do about the country. However, I do blame them when they just repeat those lies without having
any actual knowledge at all.
