A number of the streams are going stagnant and horrid because they have sand bars at their mouths and the water is so low that it can't get out to sea, causing it to just form a pool that sits there baking in the heat.
We're forecast to get some rain next week, but at the moment it's getting towards the worse I have seen in 30 odd years.
