OK, I'm one that thinks that there is a kind of anti-Muslim bias that stems partially from cultural biases and biases driven by support for Israeli colonialism and militarism, so I was predisposed to agree with Hedges. I didn't exactly.

I thought he over simplified the views of people that he disagreed with and I thought his term, the new atheists, implied that there was more homogeneity in a particular set of prominent atheist views than existed.

A lot of his message seems to be, though, straightforward, criticism of American policy in the middle east and on that I thought he was on pretty solid ground.
