I don't really know much about the government side of things on such matters but we offer rentals instead of outright purchases to all of our customers. To date only one hospital has chosen that route. Why that is, I really can't say for sure but over the years that I have been working in the field there has been a decided shift from independent local hospitals with equipment decisions being handled by on-site technical personnel to corporate networks of facilities where the decisions are made by financial types so I suspect that may have something to do with it.
