This still happens in our company every few years. Usually it happens through a mailing list which is composed automatically when you subscribe to some tool and which nobody knows even exists. Some mistypes the address and triggers that mailing list.

Oh, and please everyone stop responding that you want to get off this thread, that only makes it worse!!!
