The same is true for abortions. Given the time constraints imposed on abortions, if one is to have an abortion, it needs to be done now, and can't be put off. It's actually a perfect example of what constitutes an essential service.
Abortions are not essential, to liken them with the need for food is comical, at least the frivolous ones.
