Following the Jessica Rush incident.

Aimée Toms was harassed in a women's bathroom at Walmart on Friday by somebody who said she was "disgusting" and that she "didn't belong there". Toms has a pixie cut and was wearing a baseball cap that day, says she soon realized that she was being harassed because the woman had seen her from behind and mistakenly believed she was transgender.
"If it really takes me pulling up my shirt and showing someone I grew these boobs myself for them to leave me alone in a restroom, I don't want to live on this planet anymore," she says in a Facebook post accompanying what she calls a "rant" about the incident.

Toms says her hair is short at the moment because she has just donated hair—for the third time—to a charity that makes wigs for child cancer patients. "I've had people call me all sorts of names for having short hair. I've had people call me a boy, I've had people call me a dyke, I've had people call me gay," Toms says. "I'm grateful that that woman only called me disgusting and didn't physically attack me." Toms says she didn't report the incident because she didn't see where the woman went afterward.

There are a lot of these stories going around. Seems like those seeking to avert attacks and discomfort in the restrooms by keeping transgender people out are causing more attacks and discomfort than there had been before.

Would it also be fair to say that quite a number of transgenders have been using the bathrooms of their choice for years without anyone noticing nor even a hint of being singled out as being "different" in any way?

Damn, clicked on the "comments" in the first article - wish I hadn't

Probably just one more in a long line of LGBT victimization hoaxes. More often than not these are made up. Danbury is a pretty progressive city, I seriously doubt anyone accosted her in the bathroom.
Danbury is a sanctuary city! Cut off funding NOW! Can't wait for Trump to make our nation safer
thank Obama for bring the hate out in everyone! Worst president ever
Obama's agenda is to destroy our society and he has done a darn good job at it!

It seems both likely in general and I can anecdotally confirm in a few specific cases.

Yes. In fact I learned today of one at my place of work. I hadn't noticed, nor do I care.

I'm waiting, with a mix of fascination and horror, for the first bathroom shooting in the US.

I'm betting some righteous redneck will be the first one to shoot another righteous redneck because of their extreme prejudice and ignorance over how girls and boys should look and dress. That or some busybody will stick their head under a toilet stall door to "check on a possible pervert" and get their face blown off.

I wish I was joking... :(

Besides transpeople who don't or can't pass as cis, it seems the biggest danger now is to cis-people, particularly cis-females who don't look feminine enough.

The cis-people are attacking their own. This is not how trans hate was supposed to work.

Fewer people would notice if they would just sit down to pee when using the lady's.

I don't think T would have been my thought, but L might have been. Plaid flannel shirt, loose jeans, no make up?

Or dress feminine, a touch of make-up, and the pixie can climb up on my lap where I would hold her safe and warm.

I often wonder what people see when they look in the mirror, and if their countenance is purposeful. Like that petite nurse with a pixie cut- I wanted to ask whether people treated her like a professional, or a doll?

Aimee Toms may just be a liar.

What does she say in her vid-rant?
A woman asked me to leave the bathroom at walmart. I saw it and it happened and I thought to myself “this is unbelievable”. Like, she said “You are not supposed to be here. You need to leave.” So at first I was like, does she think I like work in a different store, and I shouldn’t be in this bathroom?

Why is that the first thing that pops into her head? Is it because she works in a different store in the strip mall(SHOCK! She does) and she got caught using Wal-Mart's bathroom as the hideout for her and other work friends to congregate? And she likes the attention she can get from being a "victim" and the warm fuzzies of being a good trans ally? Because nobody would ever lie, shade the truth or invent a person with the obviously made up name of Haven Monahan in order to get into the spotlight right?

Too many SJWs have been caught making stuff up, I don't believe any of it without evidence.

Hmmm.... it's unfortunate, but in their attempt to speak out for everyone and create safe spaces for all, they just managed to make people more cynical about real issues.

Unfortunately attacking randomly and stupidly can do that. I may well support the thing the SJW does, but the SJW handles it like a bad cop off the leash!!!!!

If this is true, then what does it prove? Absolutely nothing. Just one mistaken woman's opinion.

However, if this is a hoax, then it shows that social justice warriors will resort to any tactics to further their progressive agenda and eventually destroy this country from within. Hopefully President Trump will make this sort of lying a capital offense, but after attending to more important matters, like dissolving Congress.

They also probably don't do much math. The number of trans people is pretty small. The number of people that might not look like their actual gender is likely quite a bit larger.

The chances of being wrong about who is trans is likely quite large.

You give them undeserved credit for good intentions.

Well, making up some incidents doesn't help either.

Independent witnesses, video, etc.

Toms story hits too many SJW hot-button issues, including that it allegedly happened in a Walmart.
Let me get this clear. Are you saying that if you have decided that someone is an "SJW", you will by default assume that everything they say is a lie?

Of course you don't.

Seriously? You're now expecting people to video record what happens in a toilet?

None of the reports say it was a staff toilet, as opposed to one for customers. Toms did not identify the woman who accosted her as a Walmart employee. Does Walmart bar staff from other stores shopping in theirs?

So what?

I mean, a 6'6" steroid-pumped Swede could have raced up behind her, bent her over, pulled her pants down, and went to work on her arse. But...it didn't happen (even though the video would have been cool!).

So, what's the deal?

Admission from the harasser, or phone footage with audio, I should think.

I would imagine that people walking into publics with a camera already recording video might in itself lead to a few complains. It's also a good job that getting a confession from the harrasser isn't required to get a harrassment conviction in court.

Ah yes, harassment is no big deal.
There are times I despair for humanity.

Good morning. I used to think I had decent powers of observation but clearly I've been missing what a social hot spot public bathrooms can be. ( I'm not talking about the ones in clubs back in the 80's where no one was going to be reporting anything that went on in there) All my life, whenever I've had to use a public restroom, I would simply go in, relieve myself, wash up ( ok not always) and leave. I've obviously missed so much. If you believe the news, and online posters, everything from child molestation, blatant "in your face " discrimination confrontations, and those who promote video capturing what goes on to use as evidence in case something postworthy occurs. Way too much going on there for me. I'll just wait to use my bathroom at home. That is of course unless I can go back in time to the 80's :-)
Oh wait. I forgot about that time James Brolin got knocked out in the men's room at a department store only to wake up after hours with the store filled with ferocious guard dogs. "Trapped" was the made for TV move. Pretty well done as well.

Obviously you're not hanging out in the right toilets.

Good morning catsmate

Apparently. Although the post didn't mention which restroom Toms went to other than it wasn't the one at Wal-Mart. Clearly something is more attractive about that restroom.
