Syria and UN Security Council Decision - Part 2

Syrian Refugees are Going Home, the West Ready to Attack

Andre Vltchek said:
“How many years have you been living in Beirut?” I asked my barber, Eyad, after he told me, beaming, that in three months from now, he will be returning home, to Damascus.

Even one year ago, such conversations would not be easy to commence. But now, everything has been changing, rapidly and, one wants to believe, irreversibly.

Although nothing is truly irreversible, the better things are on the ground in Syria, the more threatening the West is becoming, particularly the United States. Now it is, once again, intimidating Damascus, ready to attack the Syrian army, something that could easily drag Russia and others into a lethal confrontation. The war! The West is clearly obsessed with perpetual war in Syria, while most of the Syrian people are passionate about bringing back an everlasting peace.

“6 years,” replied my barber, preparing his razor. I detected sadness and indignation in his voice, “6 years too many!”

“After you go back, then what? Are you going to open your own salon in Damascus?” I was curious. He is the best barber I have ever had, a real master of his trade, quick and confident, precise.

“No,” he smiled. “I never told you, but I’m a mechanical engineer… About being a barber; I learned the trade from my grandfather. In the Arab world now, millions are doing something that is not their main profession… But I want to return home and help to rebuild my country.”

I knew nothing about Eyad’s political affiliations. I used to consider it impolite to ask. Now I sensed that I could, but I didn’t. He was going back, returning home, eager to help his country, and that was all that mattered.

“Come visit me in Damascus,” he smiled, as we were parting. “Syria is a small country, but it is enormous!” [...]

^^Why are you posting Russian state propaganda on a skeptics forum, Childlike Empress?

Thanks.

This is not "state propaganda", it is a report about a direct, straight-forward warning from the highest ranks of the Russian military that it will attack the US navy if the plans they are aware of are went through with. This is a matter as serious as can be, yet nobody but me informs you about it. And you complain?

Adolf Erdogan, and his Johnnie Turk soldiers, and the Free Syrian Army have just marched into the Kurdish town of Afrin, which is Syrian territory under international law. Reports suggest 1500 Kurds have been killed and 200000 Kurds displaced in the past few days. All Syria needs now is an exodus of refugees, none of whom are allowed to emigrate to America, and few of whom are welcomed in Europe.

This has all happened because Trump is pals with Netanyahu. There has been deafening silence from Nikki Haley at the UN. Corbyn and Emily Thornberry refuse to speak out because it might affect their opinion poll ratings. Bonkers Boris is going around like a headless chicken and Mrs. May is weak and hopeless. I wish Erdogan had been bumped off in that coup a few years ago.

The Free Syrian Army has been mixed up with Isis in the past in their battle with Assad and the Syrian army. Part of the trouble might be, as somebody once said on this forum, that few people in America know where Syria is. Nato and Israel should withdraw their support for the head chopping Syrian opposition:

TASS is in fact a Russian state "news" agency, owned by the Russian government. But you knew that of course.

I don't think the Press has been much help with regard to Syria, though I suppose it could be a dangerous business if you get taken hostage or have your head chopped off. British journalists have almost invariably supported the Syrian opposition, and Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, and even the murdering Islamic extremists.

And of course you have evidence to back up the highlighted part?

ETA:

Here's the most recent BBC articles I could find on Turkey BTW:

Turkey sentences 25 journalists to jail for 'coup links'

Syria war: Turkey 'indiscriminately shelling civilians in Afrin'

Turkey's Erdogan in row over 'girl martyr' comment on TV

Perhaps you have a different definition of 'invariably supported'?

Henri,

An "overwhelming volume" of evidence of war crimes committed by all parties in the war.

They say not all can be prosecuted. :(

The team, led by former French judge Catherine Marchi-Uhel, said it is preparing case files and has engaged with war crimes investigative units of various states including in Europe, whose courts can exercise universal jurisdiction to prosecute.

In the future, an existing body - such as the International Criminal Court - or a new court could be given jurisdiction for Syria, according to the report.

The team expects to finalize an agreement soon with the Commission of Inquiry (COI) on Syria on getting access to testimony and evidence collected by that separate team of U.N. investigators for the past six years, the report said......

“...It is not possible to prosecute all of the crimes committed, given their vast number,” it added.

But there is a need to sure “fair representation” by prosecuting crimes committed on all sides, and sexual and gender-based crimes, as well as violations against children, will be a priority, said the report, released on Monday.

Funny how Russia considers itself to be "The Big Brother of all Slavic Nations" but almost all the other Slavic nations are scared s---tless of Putin's revival of good old fashioned Russian Imperialism....

While the eastern Ghouta is mostly liberated now, with the exception of Douma which is still in the hands of the vicious death cult "Army of Islam", Vanessa Beeley reports from the temporary IDP camps.

A British SAS soldier has just been killed by an improvised explosive device, and five others injured, including American soldiers, at Manbij in northern Syria. That's where Adolf Erdogan has publicly said he intends to capture with his Free Syrian army, and Isis accomplices, in his genocide of the Kurds. This could lead to military conflict. It's a monstrous and dangerous policy.

There seems to have been another chemical attack in Douma in Syria which the public and House of Commons are attaching blame on the Russians and Syrian army as usual. The public and House of Commons are absurdly credulous. The Russian military have said publicly that the Syrian opposition were preparing a chemical weapon atrocity. It could have been done by John Bolton and the Saudi Arabians for all we know, with their army of Islam in Syria.

The trouble is the Foreign Office still consists of old-fashioned diplomats like the former British ambassador to Russia, Sir Andrew Wood. There needs to be strong personalities in the Foreign Office, like Prince Harry or Prince William who can seize the situation like a man.

There is nothing new about this kind of dirty work and subversive propaganda in the media. Chamberlain's Sir Joseph Ball in the 1930s was a bit like that. The Cocaine Importation Agency is just muddying the waters.

As usual Assad was quickly blamed for the recent chemical attack on civilians. Could it have been a false flag attack?

Trump before and after the attack:

It 'might' be sarin gas and it might be chlorine gas and it 'may' have been dropped in a barrel bomb from a helicopter and it couldn't possibly have been done by the rebels, or be a false flag operation by Isis in a desperate attempt to save Douma, and Trump should now bomb and cruise missile Syrian air bases in order to help the saintly Syrian opposition. It's sheer ignorance of the facts. These journalists need to check their facts. They are earning enough money.

There are grave doubts about accusations of Syrian and Russian chemical attacks attacks in the past. There needs to be cooler tempers, and wise and able, and even sane politicians and journalists:

Hard hitting paragraph (link found at link above):

Caitlin Johnstone said:
The western propaganda machine is endlessly impressive. People are so pervasively brainwashed by mass media psyops that they now find it easier to believe that Bashar al-Assad and Vladimir Putin are deliberately killing civilians with poisonous gas for no reason whatsoever than to believe that the same empire which deceived us into Iraq is deceiving us into Iraq's next-door neighbor Syria.

Hard hitting paragraph (link found at link above):

Don't they get tired of that mediocre argument by analogy?

In the realm of pure plausible deniability, we should consider Assad's and Putin's past crimes too right? Oh nevermind...they're the good guys and would never engage in psyops.

Let them keep telling themselves that.

^ In your childish "bad guys vs good guys" hollywood world view you first have to acknowledge that those who have started illegal wars over lies which killed millions of innocent people are not the good guys. If you want to approach reality, that is.

I'm just caricaturing you Putin enablers on here. And I don't think that caricature is too far off from reality.

Let's keep our eyes on the ball here; our government started a very unpopular, expensive, and destructive war (so did some other people elsewhere). But in any case, to keep bringing it up to juxtapose it with the supposed humanitarian effort of "liberating" rebel-held areas in Syria from "terrorists" is patently dishonest.

It's cheap; Russia and Syria's brand of the war hawk adage "...then the terrorists win" to deflect criticism for their war crimes.

They had that Jewish journalist from BBC Pravda on TV yesterday, Jon Sopel, who urged and urged Trump and John Bolton to do a shock and awe on 'animal' Assad, in support of Israel's proxy chemical attacks in Douma, and Israel's bombing of Syrian air bases. These people only seem to be interested in golf and mortgage fraud and house price inflation. I still think that Skripel case could be a false flag to attach blame to Putin. The CIA is now intending to give the Skripels a false identity so that they cannot talk publicly about what they know, whether they like it or not. It's connected to Syria.

Henri McPhee, your schtick is getting old and your antisemitism is showing again

I double-dog dare you to provide any kind of evidence that Jon Sopel called for President Trump and John Bolton to do anything, much less shock and awe, and that he called Assad an animal.

These people only seem to be interested in golf and mortgage fraud and house price inflation.

BBC Prava or (((Jon Sopel))) ?

Yes, a small part of the news was devoted to reporting the result of the first men's major golf tournament of the year but the news today has covered a variety of subjects, including lengthy pieces on Syria.

I still think that Skripel case could be a false flag to attach blame to Putin. The CIA is now intending to give the Skripels a false identity so that they cannot talk publicly about what they know, whether they like it or not. It's connected to Syria.

Any evidence for the CIA intending to give false identities or the connection to Syria ?

There is an article about this matter on the internet:

https://www.theblaze.com/news/2018/...soned-russian-double-agent-new-identity-in-us

All this Syria matter is partly the fault of Trump for appointing silly arses to the National Security Council, who are determined to drag us into a war with Russia and Iran on behalf of Israel. Trump needs to develop some political cunning and right judgment.

The people seemingly determined to drag us into war are the ones who tried to test the U.S. a few months ago and got their asses handed to them. To my knowledge the U.S. has been amazingly controlled and patient with the people trying to drag us into war.

I still think that Skripel case could be a false flag to attach blame to Putin. The CIA is now intending to give the Skripels a false identity so that they cannot talk publicly about what they know, whether they like it or not. It's connected to Syria.

Israeli Airstrike on a Syrian Missile base this morning.
The Syrian crisis might be spreading beyond it's previous borders
BTW just about everybody but Conspiracy Theorist and Putin fanboys ,,in many cases the same thing...accepts that Assad used nerve gas this weekend.
And, yeah, I note that the Anti Semites are showing up big time in this htread now...

The funny thing is Lavrov, who is a competent Foreign Minister, has said publicly that the chemical attack in Douma was a fabrication. You can't just laugh at that remark off hand. No dead bodies have been discovered and no victims interviewed. It's only 'somebody' from Save the Children charity has supposedly said that there were some people with breathing difficulties. No doctors in the area have reported a chemical attack. Russia has invited independent inspectors to visit the scene.

There is real proof that the Syrian army have discovered large quantities of Syrian opposition chlorine gas and chemical weapons which is never reported in the western media.

What may have happened is that the Syrian opposition may have put out an old video to media outlets from a few years ago, in a desperate ploy to get America involved. It's marked as unverified video on TV screens. A similar sort of thing happened in the JonBenet Ramsey case when the Boulder Police Department fabricated a photo of a pineapple bowl when they heard JonBenet might have eaten pineapple. That photo was never time stamped.

We are now sleepwalking into a nuclear war against Syria, Iran and Russia, under Jewish pressure, from Jewish TV journalists, on the pretext of fake news and false accusations. Get it right.

Well, someone sure just came out of the closet as far as anti-Semitism goes....

Yeah....competent in the sense that he does his job very well; he's a very convincing manipulator. How do you make that jump from "competent" to trustworthy, McPhee? Sheesh

It's false evidence. The Russians say they have investigated the possibility of a Syrian army chemical attack last Saturday and they can find on hard evidence that it ever happened. They have invited independent inspectors to the scene immediately to check up on any casualties, or nerve agents, which American Nikki Haley at the UN flatly refuses to cooperate with. That unverified video on TV was never time stamped, or date stamped. Who was the cameraman for a start? When and where was the video taken? It's being absurdly credulous. It's dangerous for the court of public opinion.

They had that Jewish journalist Alistair Bunkall, defence correspondent on Sky News TV yesterday who explained that there is the American fifth fleet in the Persian gulf and the sixth fleet in the Mediterranean, and the RAF in Cyprus, all ready to do Israel's dirty work in the Middle East for it, and to support the Sunni Islamic extremists in their war against Assad. and in support of Isis atrocities in Europe and Russia.

Pravda

It's not Pravda. The Russians have every right to say that this recent video of an atrocity supposedly in Douma should be properly and thoroughly investigated before a world war starts over it. That Alistair Bunkall has just said that after his conversations that there is likely to be a shock and awe either tonight or tomorrow night.

This is an alternative viewpoint from an American which I concede comes from a Russian point of view:

https://www.rt.com/usa/384520-postol-report-sarin-syria/

We again have a situation where the White House has issued an obviously false, misleading and amateurish intelligence report,” he concluded, recalling the 2013 situation when the Obama administration claimed Assad had used chemical weapons against the rebels in Ghouta, near Damascus.

“What the country is now being told by the White House cannot be true,” Postol wrote, “and the fact that this information has been provided in this format raises the most serious questions about the handling of our national security.”
