26-story building collapses in Brazil due to fire

It was the Jesuits, how obvious can it get!
This was a covert attack on a Lutheran church!

I've always said 9/11 was done by the Greek Orthodox Church. Have you seen the palace they are building to replace the old St. Nicholas Church?

You have no idea how much impact this collapse is having in politics here, for instance, Gustavo Boulos, the head of the homeless movement that occupies many buildings is a presidential candidate for this years election.

There you go, inside job.

“How could 19 squalor-dwelling hobos bring down a....”

No, I can’t finish that.

"... steel-framed building that was abandoned by the Federal Government because it was essentially impossible to fix"

They tried to auction the death trap off in 2009 but nobody wanted to buy it.

The building had serious damage and inspections years ago found it had a list of about 80cm to one side measured from the top floors.

Exactly my opinion. I'm waiting till more information becomes available.

Here's a photo from a year ago, in a news report about the squatters breaking into the building.

That's clearly not structural steel; it's just a curtain wall. It might be an old-style steel and glass curtain wall--not sure exactly when they went to the aluminum and glass. Note as well in the first photo in this post, the rather large, cylindrical shape going through the visible floors in the corner of the building. If you've ever worked in an old skyscraper you can't miss them because they are ubiquitous. And that corner space is particularly valuable, which means it would not be taken up by something like that if it was avoidable.
