I skimmed part of this; I'll read it more thoroughly when I get a chance. So far, it looks like the commissioners are mostly unpaid, and they seem to be elected on a day when there are no other elections scheduled, which practically guarantees an incredibly low turnout.

It's more Long Island than Queens. Let's see what the FDNY says about this. My guess is that they won't be amused.
Franklin Square and Munson Fire District passed a resolution claiming "overwhelming evidence" of explosives used in the destruction of WTC1,2 and 7. Yet no where in the article does it provide what that evidence is. I see ties to AE911T.

Pretty much. What the article tells me is the Fire Board really does not understand all of the investigations and reports done regarding 9/11.
Might as well ask if they have their fire departments check for explosives on every fire run.

It's also possibly just random chance. According to Wikipedia, there are 142 fire districts in New York state. So it's not unreasonable to conclude that one of them could have a majority of kooks at some point in a 20-year time span.

PS. By the way... I've many times recommended that any truther advocating a New Investigation with para judicial powers read the transcript of Michael Behe's evidence and cross examination in that trial.
Behe was the selected/volunteer expert witness for his version of God and he was cut to pieces in cross exam. It should be a salutary lesson for any like Gage, Szamboti et al as to how they would get carved up under competent cross examination.

EXACTLY. The surprise being that it hasn't happend earlier. PLUS - so far we have little information and most of what I see around the boards and FB Groups has already been "filtered" AKA quote-mined and adapted by the gleeful truthers reporting it.

No, Kitzmiller was a different case also involving stuffing school board seats.
But I went to look for the school board infiltration and it turns out there were dozens.

Separate from the WTC towers investigation, NIST researchers estimated that at least 0.13 pounds of thermite would be required to heat each pound of a steel section to approximately 700 degrees Celsius (the temperature at which steel weakens substantially). Therefore, while a thermite reaction can cut through large steel columns, many thousands of pounds of thermite would need to have been placed inconspicuously ahead of time, remotely ignited, and somehow held in direct contact with the surface of hundreds of massive structural components to weaken the building. This makes it an unlikely substance for achieving a controlled demolition.

Chemical testing to confirm or determine what type of explosive was used is performed on samples which show evidence of explosive (or incendiary) cutting.
Every single sample showing those signs was tested. All ZERO of them.
Plus - admittedly in hindsight - we now understand the physics which confirms that there was no need for explosive or incendiary - so called "CD" -assistance.
Therefore whatever validity there may have been in the question of explosive use immediately following the collapses there is absolutely no honest basis for anyone to repeat the lie by partial truth NOW - 2019.

The Commissioners' initiative will go no-where because is is based on Gage et al's false claims - mostly about CD at WTC.

Because they don't want a new investigation; they want a new investigation that finds that elements in the US Government were responsible for carrying out the 9/11 attacks.
There have been - to take one example - at least four independent investigations of the collapse of WTC7, all of which have found reasonable collapse mechanisms compatible with fire and impact damage, something truthers insist is impossible. Truthers reject all of them, and will continue to reject the results of any investigation that don't fit their fantasies. The result will be that public money will be spent finding out something that all reasonable people already know, and no truthers will accept. Calls for a new investigation will then be renewed. Rinse and repeat, ad infinitum.

It would be interesting to see if any of them actually mentioned their truther beliefs during the election. With a lot of the examples of the anti-evolution school board members mentioned above, they ran as "stealth candidates" who never mentioned their beliefs during the election, but they then of course acted like they had a mandate to alter the curriculum to eliminate evolution.
I wonder if these guys pulled the same stunt.

If a new investigation was done and the findings did not fit the "truthers" beliefs they would shout cover up or it was fixed. Besides who would do the investigation? Can't be the Government or a hired govt. contractor. Govt. can't be trusted. Can't be people aligned with the likes of AE911T. Others would say they can't be trusted.
Bottom line, we know what happened on 9/11 and it was not controlled demolition.

The striking thing about it is that he supposedly worked at GZ for a couple of weeks. Yet, in all that time he never noticed anything suspicious or heard a report of anything suspicious, or if he did, he violated professional ethics by failing to relay these reports to the appropriate interested parties.
