Over 400 people packed the meeting room, filled the lobby, and spilled into the parking lot in rural Buckingham County, #Virginia with one thing on their minds: #Guns.
The vast majority favored a proposal to declare the county a #2ndAmendment Sanctuary.

He makes the failure of his prediction that impeachment would ruin the economy into a victory. Sad thing is, it works on the Trumpanzees.

If you want to expose yourself to poison, go for it.
But you should have ways to know beforehand that what you are consuming is poison and not food.

We have those ways...researching claims ourselves.

But a ban on foreign spending is a restriction not on the speaker, but on me as the listener.

“The Dems are complicating matters again. Keeping Mueller out of it was the focus. Keeping it crisp & simple was the key, and now all of a sudden they are saying maybe we’ll go back and visit the Mueller probe, which is absolutely unbelievable, and shows they don’t care about....

....the American public’s tone deafness - & it should be intolerable, because the American people have had it with this.” @kilmeade @foxandfriends
The Radical Left, Do Nothing Democrats have gone CRAZY. They want to make it as hard as possible for me to properly run our Country!

The ONLY reason we were able to get our great USMCA Trade Deal approved was because the Do Nothing Democrats wanted to show that they could approve something productive in light of the fact that all they even think about is impeachment. She knows nothing about the USMCA Deal!

I'd lay odds that she knows volumes more about it than he does.

How about the World quarantine the USA?

Isn't the country already a Second Amendment sanctuary?

I'm just going back to something I asked three years ago: are we absolutely sure this whole Trump thing isn't an elaborate prank? Ashton Kutcher and some TV cameras aren't waiting to jump out and say we've been punk'd? Because I still think that's the most logically parsimonious explanation for all this.

And I'll reiterate that something went wrong with the timeline. I've heard it said many times that it seems like we're living in an alternate universe. It's like Tasha said in that ST:TNG episode where she was back on the bridge after being killed years earlier -- "I'm not supposed to be here?!"

But, as stressful as this timeline is, perhaps it is better than the alternative one which starts out OK but ends up with the world ending.

(Note - not serious -- I just like those types of sci-fi stories).

I have on occasion thought we should do this. The world economy would take a huge hit in the short to medium term, but that might be worth it at this point. The US appears to be turning its back on the world anyways, so being pro-active would give us at least some control over the process, rather than just being subject to the whims of the moment.

Crap. Someone's clued him in to the foreign (China's Falun Gong) backed Epoch Times. I can't skip their idiotic YT ads* fast enough, and now we're going to get months of tweets filled with their BS.
:(

What a ******* liar.

Stock Market Performance by President

A closer look at the S&P

The S&P 500 Is at an All Time High—But Markets Still Performed Far Better Under Obama Than Trump

You would think these numbers were black and white. Yet Fox News has different numbers: Trump most successful of any recent president -- if you use his stock market scorecard

I don't have the energy to sort this out. Maybe someone else will.

See, that's one of the really odd things about Trump: he is NOT a conservative and nor does he hew to conservative orthodoxy. For example, trade. Conservatives in the USA have traditionally been big on trade. Along comes Trump who is not big on trade (unless he did the deal) and yet mainline conservatives go gaga over him. It just makes no sense at all.

They like Trump because he "sticks it to the liberals" and he's appointing all of the far-right, unqualified judges. He's making the USA a defacto christian theocracy at the same time.

Trump is one of the few people who would look significantly better with a Romulan haircut.

LOL. Was that ever in question? Trumpanzees have a serious lack of understanding about reality, in general.

Just to poke at this a little... SezMe hasn't even remotely shown himself to be a Trumpanzee. Also, he was very likely doing a bit of mocking in his post, himself.

To poke at some other things...

Federal Workers Less Likely to Report Corruption After Attacks on Whistleblower, Poll Finds

Thanks to impeachment, 'civil war' talk is on the tip of all the far-right wingnuts' tongues

Stuff like -

As a naturalized U.S. citizen who swore the Oath of Allegiance, if President Trump orders me to drive a truck with a nuke into a city with Facebook offices or an illegal sanctuary city, and detonate it, killing myself, everyone in the city, and rendering it a sheet of glass, it would be my honor to comply.

Yeah, right-wing civility BS is a thin, dishonest cover for so very much evil. Most of them just don't want to face the fact that it's a cover for all that evil, though. I can't say that I have any interest in letting them intimidate me, either way.

And of course...

Trump Campaign creates website to tutor Trump's Chumps w talking points for holiday gatherings

They have no decency. They have hate and they want to multiple hate.

I didn't think Sez was a Trumpanzee, just that Sez was articulating the nonsense from them.

Yes, they are hateful, shameless, bigots who just want to win at all costs, just for the sake of winning.

If America survives as a reflective society hewing to truth, it may in future characterize the Trump era as the death of shame. The degree of outright shamelessness I see is breathtaking in its baldness. Just absolutely astonishing to see adults so infantile in their denialism of facts, lack of self-awareness and refusal to see beyond the current moment.

I was recently reading a long article about the Red Scare of the early 1920s, with the Palmer Raids and the mass deportations that followed. So for the good ole US of A, it's a case of 'been there, done that.' In fact we once had a political divide become so heated some of the states tried to leave and form their own country. That led to an actual state of warfare between the various states. Hundreds of thousands of Americans lost their lives.

My point is, it's been worse. A lot worse. As Barack Obama has said, we take two steps forward and then one step back. He said something along the lines, 'We'll survive this and be stronger for it. Right now things are tough. But life changes. We'll go on. Don't lose hope.'

My first thought on that was before America’s Civil War, things got so bad that one senator beat another senator with a cane. And when others tried to help the guy being beaten, another senator pulled a gun and told them to stand back.

So I figured that would be the canary in the coal mine. But then I realized that a lot of the Trump-supporting senators really don’t have the intrepidity to attack someone.

I'm just glad our Congress doesn't act like British Parliament. Everyone screaming and reacting in session like a bunch of maniacs at every statement. We still see it here, but it's orders of magnitude less.

Hating Trump is more important than understanding the people you're actually talking to.

Those people are already understood. They are cultists with Trump as their leader. They go low, and stay there.

Your effort to play victim, or accuse liberals of being hateful, is not going to trick anyone here.

Mmm. Strange as it may seem to you, I, at least, don't hate Trump in the first place. I think that he is totally unfit for the Presidency, is pushing a lot of horrible things that should absolutely be opposed because they are seriously harmful overall, even if they may also benefit a select few, and is a criminal many times over that deserves appropriate punishment for his crimes, preferably harsh enough punishment to counter some of the culture of corruption that he's enabled and promoted. That's based on my assessment of the facts, not on my personal feelings towards the guy, though.

It's not a real argument or point he's making. He doesn't even believe it. It's just an attempt to make posts in the thread seem invalid.

Probably. Even so, it's one of those arguments that cuts to the core of most of the justifications and spin that Republicans engage in by attempting to simply and directly make it an "us versus them" thing, which it absolutely should not be in any healthy discussion or fair assessment, rather than offering up BS with that as one of the underlying assumptions.
