Who needs to get a grip?

Is she hurting you or anyone else?

I don't understand their position on some things and I think they are wrong about some things, but that's the case with everyone I've ever met.

She seems to be very respectful of other people, going out of her way to try and make people comfortable when they first meet her. And I respect people who are considerate of others, especially when they they don't have any obligation whatsoever to take into account other people's issues or problems. It's nice to see her setting up a 2 way street.

Do you find it hard to be polite and respectful to people who are different to you?

If the answer is "no" then I don't understand your apparent problem with her.

The world you were born into has long gone, the world I was born into has long gone. And I'm incredibly glad that is the case.

I'm all for people being who they want to be, but I'm always surprised that so many people assume they are as interesting to others as they are to themselves.

To be fair, she did get a lifestyle brochure piece in one of Australia's biggest newspapers. What's surprising is that in this case there is real interest.

This is pretty much my view, if she'd sent me something like that I'd have glanced at it, consigned it to the "that's nice" file and carried on.

What is quite ironic in this instance is that the journalist thinks we should be interested in the journalist, she seems to think we should find her reaction equally as interesting. To be fair I did, I was reading the article thinking what is this article meant to be about apart from yourself?

I started off as a man. I have since not transitioned from a man.

It has certainly been a complicated few years....after a lifetime of thinking I was unusual or at least an unusual boy (beer drinking, meat eating, yogi bear watcher) it turns out I was completely normal just 100% boy.

My daughter Steve (aged 56) calls me Trevor, my son Trevor (76) calls me Dave, and my other son who we decoded not to name (5 months old) calls me Jonathan

You are assuming that Tragic is addressing her gender. And if wrong you are being a hateful, uninformed bigot.

They might be referring to teetotal, chocolate loving, vegetarian, yogi feminist.

Which I think you will fin, while utterly "who cares".

Are choices

To be fair Mr Ennz is pretty easy going about pronunciations of his name.

He has said he appreciates it can be be confusing being his name having Russian/Cantonese/Greek/Swahili origins.

Just don't pronounce cull as cool, given that last time.

We found him in time, but is no longer allowed ropes, belts or shoelaces

Tbf transitioning is a choice as well.

Not sure which bit you think they are being bigoted about.

Handing out the guide is a choice, which is what I thought the poster was referring to.

There seems to be only one thing in there that isn't a choice, which is what their brain thinks their gender is supposed to be.

And yet here you are posting on it.

The person is handing out a guide to how to talk to them before talking to them.

Do you not find that a tad self indulgent/important.

I get celebrities saying questions people can't ask on TV talk shows before appearing but apart from that she is just weird (she as in the concept. Not the dude who transitioned to look like a chick)

Having said that if I meet her and saw her name i would automatically pronounce her name "Tee a" and not "tea the drink" so that is one panic attack for her avoided if it happens

I imagine that, like it or not, you've pretty well summed up why she figures she needs to write out the instructions.
