A federal judge has put the #mn02 election back on track for November, granting an injunction for Angie Craig against enforcing a Minnesota state law that would have pushed race to February.

Apparently Graham also illegally begged for campaign money beside shamelessly declaring how much anti-abortion he is while at the hearing. They know Barr won't investigate these violations.

Respect for the North Caroline GOP chair who finally has had enough: family values are after all everything for the GOP.

Senator John Cornyn
@JohnCornyn More California money flooding in for MJ Hegar. That is on top of the $15 million NY Senator Schumer has bankrolled. They will soon learn that a Texas Senate seat is not for sale. #NotOnMyWatch |

So what's going on with this? Dems picked up a couple seats in the Senate, Reps picked up a few in the house, but nether enough to change the general landscape. Other than Missouri sending their first black woman to the house, anything of note?

The Democrats have picked up a House Set in Suburban Georgia, which might be a good sign for the Run-off Senate Seats.

The two R's in Georgia are calling for the Secretary of State to resign before their runoffs, he being guilty of the heinous crime of accurately counting votes.

Cunningham has conceded to Tillis in North Carolina, leaving us at 48-49 Republican Majority.
With Alaska almost certainly going Red whenever it gets around to finishing counting, that means the Dems will have to take both Georgia seats to get to the 50/50 split with VP Harris as the Tiebreaker. |

Unsuprisingly Dan Sullivan (R) has won Alaska's Senate Race.
https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/11/polit...ion/index.html So we stand at 48 Democrats (Well 46 Democrats and two Independents who caucus with the Democrats if we want to get all technical) and 50 Republican Senate Seats, with Georgia's 2 Senate Seats still pending run-off. |

Since the U.S. is about to go into a run-off election over 2 senate seats in Georgia, this seemed rather relevant...
From: The Daily Beast Right before he was put in charge of a powerful Senate subcommittee with jurisdiction over the U.S. Navy, Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) began buying up stock in a company that made submarine parts. And once he began work on a bill that ultimately directed additional Navy funding for one of the firm’s specialized products, Perdue sold off the stock, earning him tens of thousands of dollars in profits. Shady financial trades should harm is run for the senate, although I suspect republican voters probably won't care much (since such things only matter if Democrats do them) especially since Purdue has engaged in those type of trades before. |

The other one (Loeffler?) warned everyone about the runoff election, and not to let NY and California elitists come in and influence the election in Georgia.
Her husband is the president of the friggin New York Stock exchange, and they live in a $10 mil house. But don't let New York elitists mess with Georgia!!!! |

Noted in another thread that the fact Trump lost while down-ballot Republicans increased their seat numbers suggests a lot of Republicans voted against Trump.

Yes, the GOP increased seats in the House and Montana elected a GOP governor replacing its popular D Gov. Bullock who was limited to two terms. It's too bad that Bullock, who ran for the Senate, lost. He had a chance. That MT went back to a GOP governor is unsurprising.

Some interesting dynamics at play in the Georgia senate runoffs....
From: Vox President Donald Trump’s lies about the election being stolen from him are having an unintended consequence: There are now members of his base who are advocating for Republicans not to vote in the Georgia runoff for two vital Senate seats....A faction of Trump’s base — including a PAC with ties to Roger Stone — has taken Trump’s conspiracy-mongering and attacks on Kemp and Raffensperger as a call to sit out the runoffs. That's it MAGAchuds! Fight the power! Show those evil democrats you mean business by sitting out the election! (Unfortunately as much as i would like the democrats to win, I think their chances of picking up 2 seats is slim at best.) |

I repeated that joke earlier in a different thread.
Of course, there is no option to write-in a candidate on a runoff ballot. But, I still think it would be fun to encourage Trump supporters to do so anyway. I wonder, however, if Trump write-in votes might make a difference in the next Presidential election (assuming he isn't a party's nominee). |

But what might hurt the GOP in Gerogia is that Trump seems in no rush to go down there and campiagn for the Senate Candiates.
I have no doubt he is toying with the idea of letting the GOP lose Geoorgia, in order to try to show them how essential he is to theri winning. It's not like he has any real loyalty to the party...or anything except himself. |

It's a lot of effort for nothing immediately tangible for him, so I would be surprised if he went to campaign there on their behalf.
He might go for his own ego massaging rallies, but I wouldn't bet on them being particularly supportive of the GOP candidates. |

In Iowa's 2nd Congressional District, Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks defeated Democrat Rita Hart after a recount that narrowed her lead to----
SIX VOTES!!!!!! The state Board of Canvass met Monday afternoon in a brief teleconference to certify the results: 196,964 votes for Miller-Meeks to the 196,958 votes cast for Hart. |

Trump has tweeted that he would be going down to Georgia to campaign in the run-off election. Of course, to no surprise, he labeled it a "trump rally", so your suggestion that it would be 'ego massaging' is probably accurate.
There is one other reason he might want to campaign there... If the republicans hold one or 2 of the seats, they will stay in control of the senate, which will make it harder for Biden to actually get anything done. (Which is one of Trump's goals.) |
