I have to make some corrections to my post #205, as I did not go far enough to get the correct information. I apologize for the sloppy research work.

1. Babbitt made Senior Airman at her last active duty base, Dyess AFB in Texas, so she was an E-4 at the time of her separation from active duty at the four year mark. I got suckered by her family saying that she was recently promoted. The WSJ reported that she did not rise above that rank during her eight years in the Reserves and Guard, so she was never an NCO. I can’t comment on her lack of advancement, as I have no idea how the reserves and Air Guard work in the promotion area.

2. Her Guard unit was the D.C. Air Guard, not Maryland, so she worked at Andrews AFB, and was living in Annapolis, Maryland.

3. She appears to have been a part timer in the guard, at least at the end of her service, as she worked at a Nuc power plant in Maryland, not California, between ‘15 and ’17. I have no idea what she was doing if she was part time during her whole guard period. More speculation: I am guessing that her husband was still active duty with an assignment in the DC area, and she was following him at this time.

Not a correction, but her pool service company had been sued twice in the last few years
for breach of contract with the last one, in SanDiego being lost in July of ‘19 and having a more than $70,000 judgment against her, which in Sept, the other company was still trying to collect. Unknown is the end result. [San Diego Union Tribune]
I don’t know how much that would affect her mentally, but it couldn’t have been good. The deep state must have been out to get her?

The irony is, before Nashville resident Eric Munchel was caught, I saw it speculated that the 'Zip Tie Guy' might be military. Possibly a Special Forces type trained on how to invade a protected target and secure high-value prisoners. Instead, we learn that Eric (pictured below invading Congress with his Mom), is a Nashville resident and an unemployed bartender:

The Tennessean reported the only time Munchel spoke was to tell the federal judge he could not afford an attorney. The judge then appointed a federal public defense team to represent Munchel. U.S. Magistrate Judge Chip Frensley urged Munchel to cooperate with the public defenders "openly and freely," so they will be able to provide him with an adequate defense. Maybe, but the simplest explanation still remains that they brought them.

The CHUDs were openly discussing the need to make arrests (or take hostages, more accurately) on social media in the days leading up to the event.

Thanks for posting this, and as I previously posted I do have knowledge of how AFRES and ANG work based on my time spent in AFRES.

In the reserves you are either strictly a reservist (like I was) or you work full time. If you work full time then you are an ART (Air Reserve Technician)

Either way, your job is connected to a slot that carries a specific rank. If you are placed into a specific job and don't already have that rank you would typically be promoted to the rank required, with some rare exceptions.

So, especially if she was prior active duty (which she was) and she entered AFRES or ANG at E4, to not ever be promoted past that in ~ 10 years would be unusual. If she was busted down as some of us suspect, that would not also be something that she could hide and would be clearly called out in her service record at discharge.

To summarize, it's painfully easy to make at least E5 in ARC (AFRES or ANG) as just about everyone is in at least an E5 slot. So she either couldn't find an E5 slot or they made sure she was never promoted for one reason or the other.

And that very thing might have been what started her down this path. Resentment of not being promoted, even if she never earned it, is the sort of thing that a lot of these types of losers latch onto. They of course never see the real reasons why they are being passed over, so it must all be a plot against them.

Below I posted a screencap of what you may be referring to but it's around 1:30. Klepper asks two women protesters do they think it's possible that a president who never polled above 50% lost the election and is sore about it? The two women agree, "No," that's not possible.

I'm wondering if they've determined if the flex cuffs (they're not zip ties) are the same brand that are used by the Capitol Police. If not, then Brock's story is disproved right there.

Throwing a fire extinguisher at cops trying to quell protesters attempting to invade the U.S. Capitol?

I feel bad for these people. due to what I can only assume are crippling mental and learning disabilities, they’ve bought into the lies of grifters and con men. the sheer scale, magnitude, and length of this con is pretty remarkable, but it is what it is. and it looks like these are the only people who are going to suffer any real consequences. it’s a travesty of justice, and it’s not that they don’t deserve some consequences, but that men like Trump, Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Alex Jones, Jim Jordan, Ted Cruz, Rudy Giuliani, Louie Gohmert, Mark Meadows (it’s actually a pretty long ******* list) get to walk away essentially better off from this. in fact, they’ve convinced many of their supporters that they’re the real victims.

They are victims, after a fashion. No one really believes themselves to be on the wrong side. Everyone is the hero of their story, and those guys are the villains!

It's not like the old days of comic books or Saturday morning cartoons where the heros battled the Evil League of Evil.

They genuinely believe the narrative that Joe Biden stole the election through nefarious means, and that Donald Trump is all that stands between the USA, and the evil socialist communism that the Democratic Party will force on the population. In light of this, they feel it is their patriotic duty to storm the Capitol and have things 'fixed' to where they should be.

Of course, we pretty much believe them to be wrong. No evidence on election shenanigans, and no threat of impending socialism. But let us say they succeeded, Biden forced out, and Trump seated as President. What would we do to support our beliefs that they're wrong, and we're right?

It doesn't absolve them of what they, and Trump have done, however. And they'll hopefully face consequences for their words and actions.

Air Guard, not Maryland, so she worked at Andrews AFB, and was living in Annapolis, Maryland. 3. She appears to have been a part timer in the guard, at least at the end of her service, as she worked at a Nuc power plant in Maryland, not California, between ‘15 and ’17. I have no idea what she was doing if she was part time during her whole guard period. More speculation: I am guessing that her husband was still active duty with an assignment in the DC area, and she was following him at this time. Not a correction, but her pool service company had been sued twice in the last few years for breach of contract with the last one, in SanDiego being lost in July of ‘19 and having a more than $70,000 judgment against her, which in Sept, the other company was still trying to collect. Thanks for posting this, and as I previously posted I do have knowledge of how AFRES and ANG work based on my time spent in AFRES. In the reserves you are either strictly a reservist (like I was) or you work full time. If you work full time then you are an ART (Air Reserve Technician) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Re...nician_Program Either way, your job is connected to a slot that carries a specific rank. If you are placed into a specific job and don't already have that rank you would typically be promoted to the rank required, with some rare exceptions. So, especially if she was prior active duty (which she was) and she entered AFRES or ANG at E4, to not ever be promoted past that in ~ 10 years would be unusual. If she was busted down as some of us suspect, that would not also be something that she could hide and would be clearly called out in her service record at discharge. To summarize, it's painfully easy to make at least E5 in ARC (AFRES or ANG) as just about everyone is in at least an E5 slot. So she either couldn't find an E5 slot or they made sure she was never promoted for one reason or the other.

It's not like the old days of comic books or Saturday morning cartoons where the heros battled the Evil League of Evil. They genuinely believe the narrative that Joe Biden stole the election through nefarious means, and that Donald Trump is all that stands between the USA, and the evil socialist communism that the Democratic Party will force on the population. In light of this, they feel it is their patriotic duty to storm the Capitol and have things 'fixed' to where they should be. Of course, we pretty much believe them to be wrong. No evidence on election shenanigans, and no threat of impending socialism. But let us say they succeeded, Biden forced out, and Trump seated as President. What would we do to support our beliefs that they're wrong, and we're right? It doesn't absolve them of what they, and Trump have done, however. And they'll hopefully face consequences for their words and actions.

But I agree that the likes of Trump, Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Alex Jones, Jim Jordan, Ted Cruz, Rudy Giuliani, Louie Gohmert, Mark Meadows, Pirro, Ingraham, Graham, etc. are much more to blame and, for most of them, there will be no consequences. In fact, many of them will walk away all the richer. Literally. Additionally, thank you for saying "I feel bad" and not "badly". One less person I have to report to the grammar police.
