The man who checked in Mohammed Atta

He's still too PC - 4:30

"I don't think they were going to take the aircraft, to where wherever they go. "

I think the worst part in the video is finding out that the girl who checked out the hijackers commited suicide.

I guess those hijackers were real.

Imagine the guilt all these people must feel. :(
Last line of defense.
The MOFUs knew exactly how to pass all the security lines.

Also, I think he was right by saying the muscle hijackers did not know they were gonna die. Didn't OSB make (laughingly) remarks on that on one of the video's? The one where he is seen discussing the attacks with the other AQ members?

I'd always wondered about that. Of course back in 2001 suicide bombing was still relatively rare outside Palestine.

I remember after 9/11 I thought the only hard part for Al Qaeda was finding 19 guys willing to die. Bearing in mind the Mujahedeen legacy is one of fighters - not suicide bombers.

At the time I theorised that only the pilots knew it was a suicide bombing.

Since then I've changed my mind, and believe they *could* get 19 suiciders. But even so...

On the UA93 CVR, for example, it sounds like the hijackers are actually fighting over the control column (the passengers never made it into the cockpit) with things like "No, no, give it to me" etc.

Not that it matters, frankly. A terrorist is a terrorist. And the very nature of terrorism has changed so drastically since 9/11 anyway.

By the way, I also feel for the airport staff who checked in those flights.

You can only filter passengers and identify threats to the limit that the equipment, your training, and security policy will allow.

Thanks Oprah. If she don't get paid; she don't share.

Yes some got cars, wonder if she paid the tax?

What was the name of "The man who checked in Mohammed Atta"?

What was the name of "The man who checked in Mohammed Atta"?

Reportedly, Michael Tuohey. I don't know if this is true or not as I have not researched it, but that's the name bandied about.

EDIT: Actually, it appears that Tuohey is the guy alleged to have checked Atta in on the Portland to Boston flight - nothing to do with the flight out of Boston.

The link I posted in this thread is about Michael Tuohey, who did check in Atta and Alomari.

However, I don't know if the video posted in this thread was about the same thing since the video can't be viewed.

I watched the video a while back. He checked in Atta and 2 others in Portland, Maine. In his mind Atta seemed very suspicious but the man attributed that to his personal biases. 1 of the other 2 could not get the security questions right.

He made it so that Atta would have to check in again in Boston. He claims the female employee who did that committed suicide.

Thanks. I couldn't see the video either and couldn't remember the man's name, but the point I was trying to make (and I guess I didn't make it very clearly, apologies) was that he checked them in Portland for the flight to Boston, not in Boston for the flight that ended up being hijacked. The poor woman who checked Atta in at Boston apparently committed suicide, and that is so very, very sad. :(
