Was Eisenhower Jewish?

The Emancipation Proclamation didn't end slavery in 1863 as Lincoln only had authority over the North. This was not achieved until the 13th Amendment became the law of the land on 12/18/1865.

The Civil Rights Act didn't become law until 6/2/1964.

my bad. 1964.

For goodness sakes! I remember Ike very well. That was his nickname. That was a slur campaign in the 52 election by some neo-nazis and they either said or implied Ike was Jewish. Of course, that would have made Mamie First Shiksa, but ...

Why in the world would anybody believe something from 57 years ago? Do you remember that Truman was a communist? Or that Nixon's wife had a coat made out of Checkers? Is everybody nuts?

In no bio of Eisenhower, either concentrating on his war years, or his Presidency, has there been any reference to your "Ike The Kike." No doubt this is more European originated nonsense based purely on hatred of America and the irresistibility of a rhyme. How did you miss the obvious?
You are of course, completely wrong: the phrase seems to have originated with the "America First Party", an American institution (the clue's in the name).

You'd think that with all the posts you make, you'd manage at least once to be right about something just by accident, but no ...

and ofcourse, Christians have never done the USA any harm.

ever heard of Tim McVeigh?

Malcolm, be honest..what is your solution to the Jewish problem?

Haven't you heard? He was born Timbraham McVeighberg. I read it on the internet...

The jews have been running the united states secretly behind the curtains for decades.
So that's why the US is the richest and most powerful nation in the world.

You must be awfully grateful to them.

And they're so modest, too! Now if it was me, I'd take the credit for it. But it seems that they prefer to do good by stealth.

What splendid chaps they are, to be sure.

Oh, sure, Jews get credit for all the riches and Hoover Dam and Dollywood, but wanna know who's the power behind them? Well, I'll tell ya - the Anasazi! Think, do you ever see any Anasazi calling attention to themselves by living in mansions, or driving gold-plated Mercedes? No, they plot from the shadows. They don't even run for public office or appear on Survivor - the sneaky devils.

During the Nuremburg Trials, Julius Streicher kept insisting that Eisehower was a Jew. Your own countryman anthropologist Arnold Leece's book 'The Jewish War of Survival' (1945), picked up where Streicher left off. While Gerald Smith, who in the 1930's wrote Hitler a fan letter, used this rhyme/slogan by 1952, "Ike Der Kike" was on the lips of the defeated Germans (Europeans) long before 1952. Of course neither they nor Smith were correct about Eisenhower.

...... "Ike Der Kike" was on the lips of the defeated Germans (Europeans) long before 1952. Of course neither they nor Smith were correct about Eisenhower.

In my discussion in a parallell universe it is claimed that Ike's own soldiers used that nickname - a statement I can find no evidence for.

If you have a reference or source to show that it was the defeated Germans who invented it, it would help me a lot.

To be clear, Zionism was a complex movement over several decades. They were many branches and ideologies involved, often conflicting ones but on the subject of the necessity for a Jewish state.
Some of these ideologies definitively had racist elements in them.

But, indeed, the founding of many nations did. For example, the American concept of 'Destiny manifest'.

We had (and still have, frankly) some antisemitic loonies on this forum before, but this "malcolmxwarrior" guy takes the cake.

He seems just like your garden variety, intellectually challenged, anti-Semite loony to me.

You give him far too much credit.

David Dwight Eisenhauer was Jehova's witness as a kid, and a Presbyterian as an adult.

This is not very Jewish. Why don't we just all behave now?

The founding of Israel had elements of racism in it, and racism is still part of their dynamic.

But the same goes for the USA. The USA was founded in 1776...racist slavery did not end until 1863 (87 years later) and racist segregation didn't end till 1963 (187 years later)

So yes, Israeli racism needs to end. But white Americans are in no way guilt free.

You know, I don't feel particularly guilty for the actions of anyone that died a hundred years ago, no matter how nasty they may have been and no matter how they are related to me.

I have enough on my plate. So thanks and everything, but screw that.

I've read hundreds of books about WW2. In none of them have I ever seen a reference to "Ike the Kike".

I realise that's not very conclusive, but my reading spans several decades and a nickname like that would tend to stand out.

"Kike" is a specifically American piece of slang. Nazi loons of all nationalities may have claimed that he was Jewish, but only an American would have called him a "kike".

You are probably correct - and I am asked to prove a negative ... :(

To answer the question regarding Eisenhower's ancestry, he was descended from German Mennonites. Kind of odd that the Supreme Commander Allied Expeditionary Forces would be the product of a pacifist sect, but there you are.

But he had a German-sounding last name, dammit!

Not the wonderful jews who have rewarded us Americans for all the support and money we have given them(sarcasm). Thanks for serious and no so serious answers.

However, what about the "Ike the Kike"? Was it really a nickname - and was it hinting that he was a jew?

In a parallell universe there is a discussion about how the jews are behind every bad thing that ever happened to the world, including the financial crisis and the bombing of Dresden.

Seriously, for a moment....

I grew up in the "Eisenhower era," and never once heard that term used then or later of Ike, who, aside from his popularity and support from people who would never have supported a Jew in high office, would have had great difficulty even getting through the gate of some of the golf courses he frequented, such as Burning Tree.

Of course, maybe I was sheltered, but I doubt very much that it was a term used by any but persons of more or less the same level of bat-guano-crazies who think Roosevelt was Jewish.
