Hello again...

According to my header, I last visited 1st September 2015 at 09:46 PM. So it's been a while. I don't have many claims to fame to jog anyone's memory. I used to hand out chocolate to anyone I met at the Amazing Meeting. I had a podcast called "Skeptical Viewer" at one point. I also was on the SkepticsRock chat for a bit.

So... hello again.

Hello Stephen. I used to be very active on SkepticsRock, but it's been a while. There are Discords, but I find that being on the other side of the planet from most people means that I don't get to log on when there's anyone else there.

If you discover your error in time, you can use the edit function, and simply erase the message and save the erasure, or modify it and save the new version. A little note to the effect that you deleted is a nice idea so people who already read the thread understand what's done, and there's a space at the bottom of the edit window that lets you explain why you edited if it's relevant. If you have waited too long, the edit function disappears, and I think your best option is to push the "report" button, which sends it to the moderators, and explain that you wish the message to be deleted.

If the message in question is just garbled or contains some error that is not embarrassing or off topic - like an accidentally omitted part, or the like, you can just reply to your own message with a correction. You see this occasionally when someone makes a declaration that "X is Y," when they realize too late that they meant to say "X is not Y."

e.t.a. the "report" button is the little exclamation point at the lower left.

I was wondering about that, given how unfamiliar that handle seemed for someone with thirty thousand posts. But I miss things, so never sure.

Welcome! You have to make 50 posts in the threads before you can add an avatar, it's one of the rules here.

What a cruel thing to say. All posts in all sections of this forum are well thought out and have deep meanings.

There's no specific "Show us your memes" thread, largely because posting images on this forum is a little bit of a pain in the backside. But verbal humour abounds.
