As much as half the jobs lost during the pandemic are likely permanently gone. Business travel may be permanently cut by as much as a third. The theater industry probably won't recover either.

The pandemic and the associated economic suffering of tying subsistence to labor is set to kick MILLIIONS out of their homes over the next few months.

It's time to ensure a basic standard of living for ALL persons in the US, regardless of age or job status.

History shows that a global crisis is usually followed by good times. For example, the Spanish flu pandemic was followed by the roaring 20s. WW2 was followed by the 50s boom times etc.

A UBI is needed but not because the Corona virus has decimated the job market for the foreseeable future.
