Proud Boy lashes out at Trump for not pardoning him: ‘You left us alone on the battlefield’

Ethan Nordean, 30, who was arrested and charged for participating in the riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, lashed out at former President Donald Trump when he realized that he wouldn’t getting a pardon and would likely being going to jail, according to newly released court records shared by POLITICO’s Kyle Cheney.

“Alright, I’m gunna say it. ******* TRUMP!” wrote in a message on Jan. 20. “******* him more than Biden. I’ve followed this guy for 4 years and given everything and lost it all. Yes he woke us up, but he let us to believe there was some great justice was upon us…and it never happened. Now I got some of my good friends and myself facing jail time cuz we followed this guys (sic) lead and never questioned it.”

“We are now and always have been on our own,” he continued. “So glad he was able to pardon a bunch of degenerates as his last move and sh** on us on the way out. ******* you Trump you left us on the battlefield bloody and alone.”

Its embarrassing to be Andrew Clyde right now!

You know, if you don't know the TV footage was a video from January the 6th, you would actually think it was a normal tourist visit.

Now if this was true, then I would like to ask Rep Clyde why this photograph clearly shows him helping other congressmen to barricade the doors to the chamber!

...he said he did that in the same speech he said the insurrectionists looked like normal tour groups. He literally already bragged about that 'gotcha'. Something about 'stood bravely with my Republican colleagues barricading the door'.

Listen, he doesn't suffer from cognitive dissonance, he enjoys every minute of it.

Of course he doesn't. Supporting that would probably get him ousted from the leadership. The GOP is not in the least bit interested in finding out any kind of truth about Jan 6th. It's all "peaceful tourists" for them.

And does anyone else recall when Kevin McCarthy was all for the famous Benghazi investigation because it was a good way to get Hillary Clinton into trouble?

But now that Trump is the one who is in trouble, all of a sudden, McCarthy does not want an investigation into the Capitol insurrection.

They totally missed the opportunity to send Pence out to talk to them, that would have solved everything so much quicker.

Qanon shaman's lawyer is out there trashing his client.

Quote:
Watkins, the “Q Shaman” Jacob Chansley’s attorney, said his client had Asperger’s syndrome and indicated that Chansley’s mental state — and the impact of Trump’s “propaganda” efforts — would play a role in his case.

“A lot of these defendants — and I’m going to use this colloquial term, perhaps disrespectfully — but they’re all ******* short-bus people,” Watkins told TPM. “These are people with brain damage, they’re ******* retarded, they’re on the goddamn spectrum.”

“But they’re our brothers, our sisters, our neighbors, our coworkers — they’re part of our country. These aren’t bad people, they don’t have prior criminal history. ****, they were subjected to four-plus years of goddamn propaganda the likes of which the world has not seen since ******* Hitler.”

Gee whiz!

I know that Trump has had some horrible lawyers, but I never expected that Trump supporters would end up with even worse lawyers than Trump has.

Here's a thread for some more info on the scumbag. I'm guessing that no good lawyer would take this case.

Well, obviously QAnons have mental problems. All the more reason to keep them from running around loose with weapons.

Former President Trump called for an immediate end to the debate over a commission to investigate the Jan. 6 Capitol riot the night before the House is expected to approve the plan.

“Republicans in the House and Senate should not approve the Democrat trap of the January 6 Commission. It is just more partisan unfairness and unless the murders, riots, and fire bombings in Portland, Minneapolis, Seattle, Chicago, and New York are also going to be studied, this discussion should be ended immediately,” Trump said in a statement Tuesday night.

“Republicans must get much tougher and much smarter, and stop being used by the Radical Left. Hopefully, Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy are listening!” he added.

Why doesn't AG Merrick Garland just open a special counsel investigation.... McCarthy and Moscow Mitch would not be able to do anything about that.

252-175. House passed legislation creating a national, bipartisan commission to investigate the January 6th attack on the US Capitol

Announced by Speaker Pelosi from the chair.

Bill now heads to the Senate.

35 House Republicans voted Yes with all Democrats.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that vote. I think we are seeing some of Dump's support disintegrate the further away from his toxic Presidency we get. Republicans are also getting tired of the AZ recount.

Republicans should not be invited to participate in the investigation, for the same reason that Osama Bin Laden was not invited to participate in the investigation of 9/11.

They will need 10 Republican senators to join the Democrats. I can't see where they are going to come from. I see possibly Lisa Murkowski, Ben Sasse, Mitt Romney, Susan Collins, Ben Cassidy and maybe Pat Toomey. The rest of the Senate are Trump loyalists, sycophants and arse lickers.

The only way this will pass is by killing the filibuster - getting the two DINOs Manchin and Sinema to agree to that will be harder than finding another four GQP senators.

At least 7 GOP senators say they’re open to a commission focused on Jan. 6
Quote:
Republicans probably don’t want to spend months reopening old wounds, publicly revisiting the riot and Trump’s claims of voter fraud ahead of it. But the number of senators openly expressing interest in the commission is an indicator of the momentum behind the effort to more closely examine what happened in January. And McConnell hasn’t exactly been pushing back hard against it.

It’s unclear whether the remaining Republicans who voted to convict Trump in February — Sens. Richard Burr (N.C.), Ben Sasse (Neb.) and Patrick J. Toomey (Pa.) — are on board. But they would be logical potential supporters. And if they are, and all 50 Democratic senators vote in favor of the commission, that could theoretically be 60 votes — or possibly more, since Thune’s vote, as Senate minority whip, would seemingly signal to other members of his party that they, too, can vote for the measure.
The GOP Senators might just want to get on board in order to control the investigation at least to some extent.

Quote:
Republicans could also try to force changes to the final makeup of the commission — for example, demanding that both parties can hire staff. Reluctance from Democrats to make changes or concessions could give Republicans cover to vote against it. But for now, there seems to be at least some momentum — and a few Republicans considering voting “yes.”
And what option does the GOP have? The criminal investigations are going forward. Arrests are in the hundreds. And some of those trials are going to drag Trump and the GOP into the courtroom.

Florida has two senators, Marco Rubio and former governor Rick Scott.

I wrote to Rubio asking him to support the commission--he's occasionally (not often enough) shown a tiny particle of independence.

I didn't bother with Rick Scott. He's just a blander Trump, a grifter that ascended in politics through parroting the right Tea Party buzzwords and so far as I know he's all in on the insanity.

The GOP Senators might just want to get on board in order to control the investigation at least to some extent.

And what option does the GOP have? The criminal investigations are going forward. Arrests are in the hundreds. And some of those trials are going to drag Trump and the GOP into the courtroom.
Now would be a good time for some reporters to ask Merrick Garland about the possibility of appointing a Special Counsel to investigate the 1/6 attacks. Garland could then say something like "I haven't yet made a decision. I'm waiting to see what Congress does".

A reply like that might put the fear of Christ up them, because they probably think they might be able to influence or control a Congressional Commission, but they know they would not be able to control a Special Counsel Investigation. Such and investigation would have subpoena power for witnesses, and there will be not DoJ lapdog giving out "Absolute Immunity".

That's silly. It was just a normal day at the capitol. Look you can't even tell the difference from photos.

I'm confused about something - since the insurrectionists were actually Antifa, why did the members of the GOP who hate Antifa vote against an investigation?

Because, like all liars tend to find, when you keep telling lies, and you keep changing your story, its really difficult to keep all your lies and stories straight.

And why are peaceful Antifa tourists a problem?
