You don't understand. We still have the nukes. The climate is bonus. Trump is another bonus. Thing is one disasters going off increases chance of another disaster to go off. Climate will lead to resource shortage. That will lead to international tension. Trumps will push the button. In such case, would it be nukes what would kill us ?

I think you're looking for the conspiracy thread section.

Absolutely right. And how could a small few be able to control huge amounts of people more effectively than through constant fear?

This isn't some new secret or conspiracy theory; it's been well-known for at least hundreds of years, if not thousands. Fear can be an effective tool to manipulate people into doing all kinds of things against their own interest, as well as the interest of a healthy society.

Sure, you can yawn. No biggie. It's all phony.

And you're right. It is all phony. But it still works. Just look at some people absolutely racing to give up anything just for the illusion of safety.

That's the thing. Safety is impossible. If you realize that, there is no room for fear. Just live, and when the end comes, enjoy the show.

It can also motivate people to act in their own interests, and those of society.
