Did I miss posts about Trump’s Chinese bank account?

The allegation comes from a NYT story that says it discovered the account by looking at his tax returns. He paid local Chinese taxes on a Trump International bank account.

Another lie from Trump. To consider implies thought and we all know Trump is incapable of thinking.

The President having a secret Chinese bank account and paying hundreds of times more taxes in China than the US seems like it should be a bigger thing.

Everything Trump does "should be a bigger thing."

But Trump gets a pass because he's a psychopathic monster with no morals or standards backed by a base of nihilistic trolls so it's not a sin when he does something horrible, but when an uppity Democrat hangs the toilet paper the wrong way "Oh that just proves they aren't as perfect as they think they are."

His base really does feel that the fact that he's openly wallowing in his horribleness gives him the benefit of the doubt over someone who actually has morals and standards.

You can't be a "hypocrite" or "uppity" or "over dramatic" if you are openly horrible across the board and those are the only sins Trump's supporters recognize.

All they care about is "taking people who think too much of themselves down a peg" and since Trump's already as low as a human can go, he's immune to that.

I don't think that's anywhere near the top-10 of Things that Should Be Bigger Things with Trump. But his base, and those benefiting from him or his base, don't care.

ETA: Remember the bouties on US soldiers, about which Trump did and said a total of diddly-squat? Those should absolutely sink him to the low single digits in any sane world where "patriot" means something other than "wannabe fascist".

Why ? Having account means nothing. And if he has any business in China, he's likely to pay taxes. And options to 'optimize' your taxes might be limited in China.
It makes for a good headline, but there is no story just yet.

He's usually accused of much more then 'having an account'. He's accused of tight relationship with China government and Joe Biden affecting US politics toward China because of that.
And say whatever you want against Trump, he's not very friendly toward China, especially in 2020.

The discussion has been going on over in the Trump Taxes thread.

It needs a new thread of its own.

I have no doubt that if (or maybe I should say when) Trump craps his pants in public, his supporters will consider it a masterful piece of political gamesmanship, that could only be pulled off by a true (stable) genius like Trump.

It's not like friendly disposition is a) in all cases bad, or b) the only kind of relationship that can be bad.

Trump's disposition towards and dealings in China (and his family members too) have influenced his thinking and the idiotic trade war is objectively bad for most parties.

Just don’t see any way Nancy Pelosi and Cryin’ Chuck Schumer will be willing to do what is right for our great American workers, or our wonderful USA itself, on Stimulus. Their primary focus is BAILING OUT poorly run (and high crime) Democrat cities and states....

Obama on Trump:
"He's got a secret Chinese bank account. How's that possible? Listen, can you imagine if I had a secret Chinese bank account when I was running for reelection? You think Fox News might've been a little concerned? They would've called me Beijing Barry."

"There are consequences to [Trump's] actions. They embolden other people to be cruel & divisive & racist & it frays the fabric of our society. And it affects how our children seen things...it affects how the world looks at America. That behavior matters. Character matters"

Trump: "Not much."

The President of the United States, faced with a still-raging virus that has sickened 8.2 million Americans and killed 221,000, says that there is "not much" that he would have done differently if he could do things all over.

https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/10/21/p...ing/index.html

Because he was never wrong.

I thought he prevented eleventy-zillion deaths with his "not much" approach. Or was that something he said WAAAAAY in the past...like more than two days ago.

Just concluded an hour-long TownHall with @realDonaldTrump at WhiteHouse.
The President took my questions & numerous questions from the audience on topics ranging from the upcoming debate, Fauci, Race, China and a lot on Hunter/Joe Biden. Plus a cameo from my friend @BrettFavre
Another *YUGE* Hatch Act violation.
