I'm sure that many of you will have heard of this, but it's a great website where you answer a quiz about politics and it gives you a score for each political party for how closely you align with their views. It has quizzes for loads of different countries too, so you can see who you would align with in your own country, or check against another country to see which party you would support there!

I just took the USA quiz and got the results of how closely I align with the various political parties over across the pond.

Take the test yourself, I'm curious to see what people here get.

They for example thought that slavery was perfectly fine, absolutely OK, and then they didn't and what is the point of the Catholic Church if it says "Oh we couldn't know better because no one else did" THEN WHAT ARE YOU FOR? - Stephen Fry

Here are the political parties ranked from most to least similar to your beliefs.
90% Transhumanist
90% Socialist
90% Democratic Party
90% Green
82% Peace and Freedom
81% Solidarity Party
52% Libertarian
7% Constitution Party
5% GOP

I'm embarrassed to admit that I did not know there is a Transhumanist Party. It probably put me over there for views on nuclear power and GMOs (although I'm pretty sure I didn't rank thier importance all that high, especially GMO labeling).

I'm a member of the Green Party. Transhumanists generally seem more passionate about merging with technology than raising living standards for the world's poor.

I found many of the questions impossible to answer as they contained inherent flaws in the very asking. That said, I got "Transhumanist" as well.

You know these online quizzes and tests are nothing but data mining tools. I used to fill them out, they can be fun. But I don't do it anymore.

No thanks.

I'm a moderate centrist European, so of course I come out on the extreme left wing of the Democratic party.

Well I did the option where you can look at the historical candidates for President and the one I was closest to was Gus Hall so...you know.

It insists on sticking me in with the "American Solidarity" party, which is odd because I'm strongly pro-choice and big on funding Planned Parenthood and an atheist, which all seem like deal breakers for that one.

78% American Solidarity
77% Transhumanist
60% Libertarian
60% Democratic
55% Green
55% Peace and Freedom
50% Republican
49% Constitution
47% Socialist

Not highly aligned with any of them, which doesn't surprise me at all.

And 1% Republican.

For only society can give or concede it to them; they themselves cannot take it, or give it to themselves.
