It turns out the "Stop the Steal" campaign is a Roger Stone invention he started back in 2016 that, like the walking undead creature he is, has just been resurrected. Someone really should just put a stake through that monster's heart. Sociopaths don't use theirs.

That's Ride of the Valkyries by Wagner, not the Imperial March. The other song is The Sorcerer's Apprentice by Dukas.

That is a sousaphone, not a tuba. A tuba is oval and has the bell pointing up. A sousaphone is round and has the bell pointing forward.

I watched it last week, YouTube videos don't play on the network I posted from, and I misremembered.

Just saw that on CNN...in fact I came here to post that.
My own reaction is I should have guessed that. It has all the fingerprints of a Stoen operation.
BTW that is COnvictred Felon Roger Stone. Trump commuted his sentence, but he is still a convicted felon.

"Ride of the Valkyries" seems appropriate since Trump is trying to make this the Gotterdamerung, burning Valhalla on the way out.

And since one felon, Stone, isn't enough, accused fraudster Bannon is involved too.

Quote:
A Stop the Steal Facebook group was managed by a loose coalition of right wing operatives, some of whom have worked with former Trump adviser Steve Bannon. The group amassed hundreds of thousands of followers in little more than a day before Facebook shut it down on November 5 -- the day after it was launched.

Also on November 5, Bannon started his own "Stop the Steal" Facebook group; he changed the name to "Own Your Vote" the following day. It was not removed by Facebook, but the social media company did later remove several other pages affiliated with Bannon.

"We've removed several clusters of activity for using inauthentic behavior tactics to artificially boost how many people saw their content," said Andy Stone, a Facebook spokesman. "That includes a group that was originally named Stop the Steal, which later became Gay Communists for Socialism and misled people about its purpose using deceptive tactics."

Spinoff pages sprung up soon after like brush fires, with Facebook struggling to quickly snuff out the spreaders of bogus information.

All the while, Roger Stone and Bannon have been in full disinformation mode. Stone has appeared on the show of far-right radio commentator Alex Jones to trumpet groundless claims that Biden is trying to steal the election; Bannon is echoing similar conspiracy theories on his podcast, calling the election "a mass fraud."

"We're calling it a fraud or we're calling it a steal -- stop the steal," he said on a November 4 episode.

Trump briefly drove by the million few thousand marchers, and then went to presidenting his Sterling, VA golf club.

Here some pictures from the march, not sure whether all pictures are within the MA.

No, they made the Million. Just socially distanced themselves across the Eastern Seaboard. Pretty responsible of them, tbh.

Did you see them when Trump's motorcade went by? They really are scum, hardly even human. His supporters are like dogs vying for the attention of an indifferent owner. They came from all over the country to support is effort to stay in office and he went to the golf course. He spurned and ignored them and they cheered him for it like is lack of loyalty was a virtue. I have no sympathy for people so disgusting and weak. Stupid.

I'm not crazy about "not human" language.

It gives the recipients ammo to call their critics "The real Nazis" and it sort of lets them off the hook.

I don't get mad at my cat if it barfs on the rug. I don't expect my cat to understand that's a bad thing.

These actions are a choice, and they're not, for all of them, an unbreakable nature. Members of the KKK can deconvert, Proud boys can get a clue. My cat will never understand the value of furniture.

They're dumb people making bad choices. I hope some of them will start to make better choices. And statistically, some of them will.

I agree. Some of them are beyond help but not because they're "not human" but because they're just too far down the rabbit hole and, frankly, some of them are just plain stupid. I think some of them may, in time, come to see that they were conned, just as some get out of other cults. And they'll feel a bit foolish and embarrassed that they were so blind. I can see a support group for ex-Trump supporters just like a support group for ex-Mormons an ex-Mormon friend of mine took me to once .

What they don't realize is Trump no longer has any use for them and probably partially blames them for not working hard enough to keep Biden from stealing the election. Their praise is worthless.

IIRC, Feux is reporting 14 arrests at the march including 4 on firearms charges and 1 assault on a LEO - the rest on disorderly conduct.

I hope the morons who brought firearms see a jail sentence.

A couple Trump supporters in a local newspaper's comment thread boasted that "hundreds of thousands" and "a million" Trump supporters were demonstrating in Washington DC, and bemoaned that the paper wasn't covering it.

The roughly thousand protestors were briefly mentioned in the paper's 2020 election live feed. The Trump supporters hadn't seen it. I guess they expected their hundreds of thousands of people would make the top of the page or something.

The footage of El Presidente and his witless groupies today, reminded me of a scene from Mad Max Fury Road, when the Warboys are gazing adoringly at Immortan Joe who speeds past them staring ahead.
