Yes, the US project pluto from the 1960s.

Trump Tweets

Through massive devaluation of their currency and pumping vast sums of money into their system, the tens of billions of dollars that the U.S. is receiving is a gift from China. Prices not up, no inflation. Farmers getting more than China would be spending. Fake News won’t report!

If farmers had been speculating in currency they'd have made bank? You know farmers and their aw shucks old-fashioned investment portfolios.

The things I think he might be trying to communicate are so stupid it's hard to say.

Fasten your seatbelts. This is from a financial analyst website called "The Street." Economists increasingly fear an economic downturn is not only looming, it may have already begun.
Quote:
The difference between 2-year and 10-year yields fell to 3 basis points in early Tuesday trading, the lowest since June 2007, after data from the Commerce Department showed July core consumer prices rose by a faster-than-expected 2.2% from last year, accelerating past 2% for the seventeenth consecutive month. The data suggests importers paying tariffs on China-made goods -- $6 billion alone in June and $28.8 for the nine months of the government's fiscal year -- are starting to pass those costs onto customers.

President Donald Trump, however, took to Twitter Tuesday to suggest that there is "no inflation" while insisting the "tens of billions" the government is collecting is being paid by the Chinese government. Link
Trump has a well-established history for screwing things up. His major mistake is always refusing to acknowledge reality. Like Atlantic City, things look good for a while but eventually his flawed strategies spell doom. The fear is, that's what he's doing with the US economy. Business people are already warning that his trade war with China is being handled in a way that is causing price rises and material shortages. Farmers complain his trade policies have cost them billions and billions of dollars in export income.

Just as with the football league, the airline and the casinos, this can't go on. I just hope the downturn happens before the 2020 elections so we can be sure of getting rid of this idiot and cut our losses. I'm sure it will turn out that it's going to take many years to repair the damage The Dunce has already done.

A strong economy has been a tremendous gift to Donald Trump. The fact that he has such high disapproval despite such a strong economy is a real indication of his inherent toxicity.

Should the economy take a noticeable downturn before the election, I'd say it's a sure thing he won't win re-election. Can't wait for Republicans to suddenly start caring about deficits should a Democrat win.

That's another thing that's been on my mind lately.

No matter what happens; he loses re-election, he gets impeached, even if he goes to prison... Trump isn't going to "go away" like literally every other President, good and bad (whoever you want to put in to whatever category) has.

I don't see Trump having one of those "Post-Presidency quiet lives of occasional speaking tours and humanitarian projects" lives.

Something I have also been pondering.
Even if he loses reelection, he (and his family, and cronies) has been given some high level insight into the operation of the U.S. Gov.
The Trumpsters' group does not strike me as one that will hesitate to monetize that insight however they can, regardless of what harm they may cause doing it.

If I was the next President like literally my first priority in office would be a top down review of policy and to, on a policy level, basically "change the locks" as much as possible.

Yes, I would intentionally change just base government procedures as much as possible on a functional level, every form would be updated, I would move people around, I would... shuffle the parts as much as I able to, just to subvert what you are (in my opinion correctly) worried about

How sweet of you. A more canny president would arrange a state funeral. Really arrange it.

I have it on good authority* that every president is given 3 assassinations to use as they want.

The so-called 'inverted yield curve' and increased inflation are not the only signs of economic trouble.

- The manufacturing sector may already be in recession (https://www.france24.com/en/20190716...mid-trade-wars)

- Consumer confidence may still be above average, but its dropping (https://www.cnbc.com/2019/06/25/us-c...june-2019.html)

It should be noted that a significant number of economists (over half in some surveys) are now predicting a recession by 2021, and many of those say it will happen in 2020.

Nobody with any power or influence will want to deal with him. But I can see large number of his current followers wanting to see him speak, regardless of any scandals or embarrassments he has in office.

A lot of former politicians have made money after leaving office by giving speeches to large corporation. (E.g. Clinton speaking to Goldman-Sachs.) I wonder if any corporations would pay to hear from Trump after he is out of office.

I think Trump will develop a new reality TV show where he's still the president.

Can it be directed by Quentin Tarantino?

I'd actually watch it if he gave Trump the same treatment he gave to people in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood or Inglorious Basterds.

I've long said that if Trump is forced out of office... we shouldn't tell him. The potential entertainment value is just too high.

Looks like Trump is backing out of some of the tariffs.

Quote:
The products include mobile phones, laptops, video game consoles, some toys, computer monitors, and certain footwear and clothing.

The surprise news from the United States Trade Representative office sparked a 5% jump in Apple shares.

Other items facing a 10% tariff will go ahead as planned on 1 September.
I'm not much for CT's, but I seriously wonder if Trump does this on purpose to get the leg up on some insider trading. I heard it the other day, that people seem to buy stuff up when he imposes tariffs and the stock drops a bit.

That would imply that 1) Trump understood the stock markets enough to actually understand the effects of his trade policies, and 2) Trump actually has enough money to actually invest in the markets

A more likely CT option is that its one of Trump's cabinet members who is helping to set trade policy (while holding stocks themselves).

Would Chris Cuomo be given a Red Flag for his recent rant? Filthy language and a total loss of control. He shouldn’t be allowed to have any weapon. He’s nuts!

As usual, China said they were going to be buying “big” from our great American Farmers. So far they have not done what they said. Maybe this will be different!

For context, a man approached Cuomo while he was out with his wife and 9 year old daughter and attempted to call him an anti-Italian slur, referencing a character from "The Godfather", and Cuomo responded by yelling and swearing at the guy.
Sean Hannity is on Cuomo's side.

Many are blaming me, and the United States, for the problems going on in Hong Kong. I can’t imagine why?

Our Intelligence has informed us that the Chinese Government is moving troops to the Border with Hong Kong. Everyone should be calm and safe!

“But so far they’ve had virtually none,” the president added. “But just in case they might have an impact on people, what we’ve done is we’ve delayed it, so that they won’t be relevant to the Christmas shopping season.”

Well, I thought since he was claiming credit for things like the economy (most of which he has had no impact on) and was blaming Obama for every possible problem that existed in the world, then by logical extension, Trump must be responsible for anything in the world that happens during HIS presidency.

Put it back up. We are living with a Rigged & Fake Media!

Donald Trump Jr.
@DonaldJTrumpJr
Unbelievable: @Youtube has taken down the viral video showing @chriscuomo threatening to assault a heckler and then grotesquely comparing “Fredo” to the N word. Youtube/Google literally covering up his racism and violent threats. You can’t make this stuff up. #StopTheBias (link: https://twitter.com/alx/status/1161249192049893381) twitter.com/alx/status/116…

Yeah, I have noticed apathy and indifference to the subject more than anything else. Hardy mentioned in the media, and I don't think anyone has been saying Trump is to blame. Indeed, I think everyone is silently crossing their fingers and hoping Trump stays the hell out of it.

It is kind of suspicious though. It's like the cops being called to a home for a noise complaint, the tenant opens the door and immediately states that he doesn't know anything about the liquor store robbery last week...
