2000 Mules

The New documentary film 2000 Mules has believers in the conspiracy to give the 2020 election to Biden creaming themselves.

And of course it is brought to us by Dinesh D'Souza a noted paragon of truth, accuracy and fairness. (Snark).

From what I have read about it it appears to be little more than distorted lying propaganda, much like D'Souza's other films.

As anyone here seen it?

There is one funny bit about this conspiracy theory. It alleges that 2000 "Mules" delivered c. 400,000 fake ballots to mail in ballot boxes. The methodology was dogey, so is the organization that did the "study". It alleges that these 400,000 voters changed the outcome of the election in 5 states and thus gave the election to Biden.

The problems with this idea are of course obvious. Here are some more.

1) The ballots in question were often for more than just the Presidental race so how come in many of those voting districts Republican won?

2) Take away 400,000 votes and Biden still had c. 6,600,000 more votes than Trump.

Very funny.

An article in Southern California's Orange County Register explains the basic premise of the book.
Quote:
True the Vote has said it found some 2,000 ballot harvesters by purchasing $2 million worth of anonymized cellphone geolocation data — the “pings” that track a person’s location based on app activity — in various swing counties across five states. Then, by drawing a virtual boundary around a county’s ballot drop boxes and various unnamed nonprofits, it identified cellphones that repeatedly went near both ahead of the 2020 election. If a cellphone went near a drop box more than 10 times and a nonprofit more than five times from Oct. 1 to Election Day, True the Vote assumed its owner was a “mule” — its name for someone engaged in an illegal ballot collection scheme in cahoots with a nonprofit.
Orange County Register link
True the Vote was founded by Tea Party members in Texas in 2008. They've been monitoring people via cellular pings? Sounds like something you'd read about China doing.

But if the drop boxes were well-populated places, then wouldn’t one would expect a lot of people to be near the drop boxes by chance?

Yeah, how do they define “near”?

The Orange County Register reported one Philadelphia-based politician -- and Philadelphia was supposed to be a 'hot spot' -- as saying:
Quote:
Pennsylvania state Sen. Sharif Street, who was there for True The Vote’s testimony [to Pennsylvania state senators] in March, told the AP he was confident he was counted as several of the group’s 1,155 anonymous “mules,” even though he didn’t deposit anything into a drop box in that time period. Street said he based his assessment on the fact that he carries a cellphone, a watch with a cellular connection, a tablet with a cellular connection and a mobile hotspot — four devices whose locations can be tracked by private companies. He also said he typically travels with a staffer who carries two devices, bringing the total on his person to six. During the 2020 election season, Street said, he brought those devices on trips to nonprofit offices and drop box rallies. He also drove by one drop box up to seven or eight times a day when traveling between his two political offices. Orange County Register link
True The Vote, the group compiling the 'information,' has a spotty record for ethics and integrity.

No matter how flashy it is only those already wanting to believe will buy it.

I pass up a lot of crap conspiracy vids in my ughtoob sessions. All claim something extreme or proclaim ultimate proof of some older dumb conspiracy.

It takes no effort to not watch any of that crap. The sky isn't falling and those old CT have been long debunked.

He can't wait to see it!
Quote:
These days, it's rare that I watch movies in theaters. But if my friend Phil Roberts is able to get Dinesh D’Souza's new documentary "2000 Mules" at Star Cinemas in Hillsboro, I'll be there. "2000 Mules" provides a closer examination of the 2020 presidential election, with its concentration on just a few key so-called swing states, including Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin and Arizona. (In this usage, "mules" are the human couriers for illegal activities.)

Jacqueline Timmer, founder and director of the American Voter's Alliance, issued the following statement reacting to the premiere of D'Souza's new documentary about alleged illegal ballot harvesting: "'2000 Mules' validates everything the American Voter's Alliance and The Amistad Project have been doing for the past two and a half years. This film does an excellent job of shining light on one of the many worrisome practices that took place during the 2020 election – a practice funded by billionaires in pursuit of partisan gain." Is it fair to point out that the guy who just released the movie that supposedly “proves’ Trump won the 2020 election was pardoned by Trump in 2018 after he was convicted of election-related fraud?

I think they would answer your question this way:

Almost everyone in the Washington DC area would be using the methods in the "documentary". I drive by by where my drop box is several times a week and I drive by the offices of numerous political organizations daily, just like nearly every other person in this area.

China? The US government does it, more specifically the CDC. It appears tech companies will sell location data to anyone who's willing to pay for it.

As I understand it, this would be anonymized data. Basically, they use some unique identifier that can’t be linked to a particular phone number or user. I.e. “phone with UID a43b96e368 had this location history”, where the uid is an arbitrarily assigned value of, more likely, an irreversible hash based on some aspect of the device. It’s not “Hoe Smith was here at such and such time”.

Of course, not an expert, etc, etc

Big Critic is suppressing it. If there was any justice in the world, Dinesen D’Souza would be receiving an Oscar for his glorious movie with President Donald J Trump the Magnificent looking on from the audience … until Dinesh makes a cheeky remark aimed at the First Lady.

President Vlad would be there too!

Does he ever ask himself, was dating Laura Ingraham and then Ann Coulter worth it? I got to be honest, I'm not sure who came out worse for wear at the end of those relationships.

Is anyone that's looking for this movie really interested in what kind of reviews it gets? Looking for feedback on how factual it is?

Well, why wouldn't it be listed? Every other crappy film on the planet is, and the vast majority of them weren't getting any press.

I'm sure I'm not the only one interested in the reviews, even if just to laugh.

It's not on Rotten Tomatoes but it is on IMDb:

2000 Mules

Looks like a lot of people gave it a 10. No surprise there. This is like any online political survey, people vote what they believe.

Try IMDB. There is one critic review from Townhall. Only the Trump supporters are interested in this direct to video title.

I gave it 1/10 on IMDB, which means I couldn't bear to watch very much of it before I began to question how I was spending my life. It's pure crapola, and not even darkly entertaining ... much like a Mike Lindell event.

The answer may just be is that it has not had many views (as yet). If I'm reading IMBD.com right now it has had "1 Critic review".

Why it's not on Rotten Tomatoes can probably be found in their FAQ https://www.rottentomatoes.com/faq

Or it could be a conspiracy headed by the Illuminati. Geesh.

I didn't see anything that jumped out in the FAQ. Films are very often listed on the site prior to any reviews being noted. I'm sure it will be listed eventually.

Where did you see it? It doesn't appear to be streaming yet?

Maybe not in the FAQ but I see that:

The Tomatometer score represents the percentage of professional critic reviews that are positive for a given film or television show. A Tomatometer score is calculated for a movie or TV show after it receives at least five reviews. Fresh red tomato.
per somewhere else on the site I can't be bothered to search for again. So maybe there were not five professional reviews yet.

What I find more humorous is that the dems are screaming voter suppression despite record turnout for the 2020 election.

The election was stolen. Not at the voter's box but by the mainstream media allowing Biden to hide in his basement and not answering any tough questions. He was asked if he backed "packing the Supreme Court". His answer was "I'll tell you after the election". That's bs. Who would accept that as a reasonable answer?

The Hunter Biden laptop story was true but suppressed by fake book and twitter. The mainstream news called in Russian disinformation. Now we know it's true and today it was reported that some dem lawyer paid Hunter's 2 million in back taxes.

I would imagine that Biden's approval rating would be in the 20% range if the media actually had journalists interested in the truth instead of a narrative.

Joe, you, and everyone who thinks like you, can't grasp the fact that there is a vast majority of US voters who wanted ANYONE BUT TRUMP.
It didn't matter what Biden said or did - Trump had said and done enough for a vast majority to declare: " never again."

That's not the only thing they can't grasp.
