The latest accuser has come forwards to say that he had no idea who Elizabeth Warren was, and that he thought he was auditioning for a Spike TV show

A podium that cost $200, an email account, their mom's phone number and $14 worth of Dunkin' Donuts? When your bankroll makes noise if you shake it, it's called "change", not "bankroll".

I hope they get a rent-a-cop like the last one. "Nope! My job is to stand right here on this step. You want him removed, you do it!"

On the one hand, I’m glad Wohl’s silly little stunts can get overlooked since they are so ineffectual. On the other hand it’s hard to look away from the inevitable hilarious failure they turn into. It’s like every episode of Toonces the Driving Cat.

I’m just waiting to see if anyone tries to cite Wohl’s clunkers as an arguement when the election gets going.

Yeah, I get the feeling that the few reporters who show up are there to cover the train wreck, not the press release.

The last “press conference” was attended by like 2 reporters from (one of whom interviewed a very drunk sounding Wohl. The rest of the crowd is turning into a party. Guys in costume, banjo player, a washboard player, bagpipes. Wohl tried to turn his garden hose on the jeering crowd but someone had turned off his spigot.

Bankrolling what, though? Wohl isn't really running a high budget operation here. He gives press conferences behind a podium outside his house. What money is really being spent?

This isn't a well-funded right-wing propaganda front, like Turning Point USA. It's just some idiot making phone calls to drum up false-accusers and making press releases on his front stoop.

I'm not so sure. Popehat has been covering this a bit here and there on the podcast "All the President's lawyers". His view is that Wohl is tiptoeing his way up to big boy felony crimes, but hasn't quite reached it yet, excluding his pending criminal action for his prior career as a financial grifter.

He has engaged in textbook defamation and slander, but most politicians aren't going to be willing to pursue it because of The Streisand effect. Maybe a case could be made for some form of fraud, but someone like Wohl is small potatoes in a world full of criminals. His high profile may be his undoing soon enough if he keeps this up.

More likely he will have to back-burner this kind of stuff as his criminal trial for ripping off investors starts up. It's going to be an open and shut case, by all appearances.

I think Wohl is just hoping to be another James O'Keefe, hoping some right-winger with deep pockets will pick up sponsorship of his shtick.

I think Wohl is still trying to sell his business plan of affecting stock prices through lies - for that he has to demonstrate that he can make up a lie that would get enough traction in the MSM.
I think that ship has sailed for him.

So the latest target of The Cargo Cult grifters is.....

Ted Cruz!

This time Wohl has teamed up with broke wingnut welfare Milo Yankmnotgonnaspellhisname. Not sure who is coming down to who’s level here.

The article is about the police being called since each press conference they hold attracts a crowd of mockers and noisemakers. Someone even threw donuts at Wohl. Neighbors are getting tired of it.

Of all the trolling that occurred, I found this exchange most enjoyable:

"Why is Milo here"

Milo was present but did not speak nor was involved in the press conference beyond sitting in a chair, smoking, and drinking. Neato.

Be sure to click through in that link and find the "fact sheet" about Cruz. Supposedly it's by an "escort" he was screwing. The piece de resistance comes at the end when Mrs. Cruz interrupts a three-way at a swingers party and drags him out by his penis.

ETA: No, I'm not making that up.

Attention seeking behavior? A cry for help from daddy? Just trolling? Self-parody? Performance art? All of the above?

He can't possibly think he's fooling anyone anymore. Milo knows that much at least.

I think he might be addicted to attention, and doesn’t care if it’s good or bad. His claim to fame prior to his stunts was being the first toady on Twitter to suck up to Trump when he made any of his toilet tweets.

Sometimes I wonder whether the Trump Presidency isn't the political equivalent of a medical cupping to accumulate all the Stupid in one place so it's easier to see.

You know, one of these days, these two clowns could end up picking the wrong person as the unwilling, unknowing participant in their lunatic schemes - someone who takes a dim view of being conned and made a public fool of, someone who might be inclined to come back and use a 2nd amendment solution to assuage their embarrasment.

Wohl definitely gives me a very sheltered vibe and it is almost certainly going to get him into trouble. Either some dupe is going to beat or kill him, as you say, or he's finally going to commit some big-boy crimes and the justice system is going to grind him into a slurry.

His trick to staying out of trouble, more or less, is that all of his schemes are intensely petty and comically bungled, involving characters just as incompetent as himself. He's threaded the needle between maliciousness and ineffectiveness finely enough that he's avoided any serious consequences as of yet. It's like watching a drunk stumbling along a high ledge, you just know he's going to plunge to his death eventually.

Honestly, these guys are so transparently incompetent at framing people that I think they're likely immune to prosecution, and probably immune from violent personal revenge, as well.

They're so adept at stepping on their own dicks, it's practically performance art at this point. Don't tell me you don't get a giddy sense of anticipation over what they've done now every time you see this thread get bumped!

If you're the latest target of one of their frame jobs, all that means is you've got them running scared, which is something of a compliment.

Fudd could certainly hit the duck with his shotgun. Just didn’t have effect we expect from shotguns. Not Fudd’s fault.

That's why I went with the average: 23F high, 5F low. But your point is noted.
