Forum idea
Could we interview people from time to time, like ATS did here?
http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread976579/pg1 Note the admin message at the bottom of the first post in bold, about "admin note: This is the "real" Dr. Aquino and he is our invited guest and is graciously giving his time to our community, respect and politeness are mandatory. " etc. |

Interesting idea!
(I would have liked to hear what Dr. Aquino thought of the book Psywar on Cuba: The Declassified History of U.S. Anti-Castro Propaganda, but Oct. 14, 2013 was a long time ago. I'm not really interested in satanism.) |

Kinda like a Reddit AMA? (Not necessarily "anything" though)

Sounds like a great idea.
Not sure how possible it would be logistically. How do we go about motivating people to show up to be interviewed? |

[as admin] Sounds like a good idea, as ever get it organized and let the mod team know what we can do to help make it happen.

You can do that with YouTube videos by wrapping the YT url in tags like this:
[yt]...url...[/YT <--close bracket and then it comes out like this:

Or...
You could just embed the last part, the bit after the 'v=' of the youtube URL in the tags, like this...

This kind of thing has been proposed before, and everybody seems pretty supportive of the idea, but for some reason it just never seems to happen.

It's the animémosnos y vayan approach ("let's gather courage for you to confront it").
Also the muchos caciques y pocos indios syndrome ("many chieftains and a few ordinary indians"). Where else than a webforum for baby boomers and a bit younger folks to behave as irresponsibly as milennials? |

Some suggestions:
Susan Gerbic (Guerilla Skeptics of Wikipedia). Benjamin Radford. (Skeptical author). Elizabeth Loftus (False Memory expert and author). Brian Dunning (Skeptoid podcaster). Dr Edzard Ernst (Academic physician and CAM skeptic). I could think of a few questions to ask them, but I wouldn't want to be recorded other than in print. Do we have someone who would be an interviewer? That seems to be an important factor that hasn't been decided. |
