Taxicab to Hell

The Beast is a San Francisco taxicab. Who knew?

Quote:
The San Francisco Taxi Commission is set to decide this evening whether one of the city's cabs is "associated with evil and Satan.'' And its decision, according to the official agenda, has implications involving no less than Armageddon, St. John the Divine, Good Friday, the Book of Revelation and the Mark of the Beast.

The laugh of it all is that I understand it's a mistranslation: the Number of the Beast may actually be 616!

To quote a song: "6 is not a pretty number -- 8 or 3 are definitely better."

"Do I believe in the Mark of the Beast myself?'' Thigpen said in an interview. "No. But there is a lot of negative energy around that cab..."
Negative energy? He should alert all the physicist! Maybe this is a new form of matter!

It's a phenomenon that has affected cabs for years. I notice that every time I use a taxi, negative energy draws more cash out of my pocket than normal physics can predict.

I'd say it was just the borborygmia from the previous fare.
