Are judges proportionally dumber than GOP politicians?
They may need their own thread.

Not the same thing. Fix, as I used it, means 'to repair' or 'to put right'. Her dying didn't do that. But it did fix the problem of her spreading her stupidity.

Some can be. Remember the CA judge who likened assault rifles to Swiss Army knives? Wanna bet what party he votes?

I normally wouldn't judge anyone to be expendable, but for cartoonishly unempathetic idiots who risk getting thousands of us disabled or killed, I'm starting to care less and less about whether they survive it. There are people literally shouting "freedom over health" and boasting about how they'd rather die than get vaccinated and encouraging like-minded contrarians to do the same. I only have so much sympathy.

Agreed. To me, it's like feeling sorry for the idiot who decides to cross a busy six lane road in the dark instead of using the crosswalk and gets hit by a car. Totally avoidable.

Thanks smartcooky!

That actually surprises me that there are no democrats on there.

ETA: As they noted, the list at the more local levels is not complete.

I have been forced to come to the same conclusion some time ago. Sadly, they will take children and useful people with them. But in the USA, where gun rights beats 60,000 gun deaths per annum, it appears there are never too many deaths to change jingoistic minds, even their own as they die of results of the rights they assert.

Is there room in the list for conservative media people?

Conservative radio host Phil Valentine dies of COVID-19

Encouraged others not to get the vaccine, downplayed the severity of the virus.

Changed his tune shortly before going on the ventilator, of course.

In all likelihood, many people died because they took his advice over science, and I doubt he would have changed his tune had he not gotten so sick. For that matter, I would guess that if he would have recovered, he would have gone right back to the denial game.

He had people who loved him, who are hurt by his death. But the world is better of with him dead - he can't keep convincing people to die anymore.

Does anyone think all these morons’ deaths from Covid might convince anti vaccinators to get vaccinated? If so, their deaths would not be in vain.

I think it might depend on their knowing about them. I doubt it's much covered, if at all, by the likes of Fox, Newsmax, or OAN

A dozen deaths in the last few months, compared to 300 per day in FL alone?

Nope, their deaths will convince nobody who is determined to put themselves and their families and communities at risk.

She.

And I question that since you seem to think it was something to do with vaccines and not a date mistake.

No...within the context of this thread, the discussion is about those imbeciles who died because they stupidly refused to adopt Covid precautions despite warnings. Stacyhs was calling out your gotcha by stating that the man you mentioned died before the vaccines were widely available and there is no evidence to show that the man willfully flouted existent Covid prevention protocols.

You're both right. If I make a mistake, I own up to it. I had a brain fart when I wrote "the very beginning of the pandemic". But I did mean that he died before the vaccine was available, etc as Susheel said. And Susheel is also correct that I'm a 'she'.

Amazing skill considering that the first time I posted in this thread was after Stacy's post.

Here is one.

raw story link

Quote:
Anti-masker 'not doing good' as lungs stiffen from COVID-19: 'They've run out of options for him'

...

The 30-year-old father of three, whose wife is expecting their fourth child next month, organized "The San Angelo Freedom Defenders" group last year to push back against pandemic protection measures, and he organized anti-mask rallies and gave multiple interviews questioning public health measures before experiencing shortness of breath, high fever and a dry cough on July 26.

At first, he tried treating himself with ivermectin, high doses of Vitamin C, zinc aspirin and an inhaler, but Wallace was taken July 30 by a relative to the emergency room at Shannon Medical Center, where he joined 33 others hospitalized with the virus.

"He couldn't breathe on his own," said Jessica Wallace. "The first week he was able to be on oxygen. By the morning of (Aug. 8), he had to be ventilated."

...

Jessica Wallace said her political views differed from her husband, who also identified himself as the state coordinator for the right-wing West Texas Minutemen.

But still, it wasn't actually Herman Cain in person, was it. Unless someone was playing Weekend at Herman's.

There’s now a subreddit called r/HermanCainAward in his honour. Daily updates or more at the moment of people who post CT stuff about Covid, get it, and die.

One example: https://imgur.com/a/9n26SeV/

A young woman posted on 15/8 that she’d never be ‘masked, tested, poisoned, chipped or tracked’; on 16/8 posted a fake medical/religious mask exemption form and that if people had voted Republican that her state would be open; on 17/8 that she had Covid and it was no joke; on 18/8 posted more misinformation; on 20/8 ‘prayers needed’. Died on 25/8.
