"Bernie, Bernie, how ya doin' baby? Listen if you guys could see your way to putting a few hundred mil into the market on Monday morning, I can probably get Harrison to agree to take points rather than his usual 19 mil guaranteed. This is gonna be a blockbuster, baby. I tell ya, we got Pink doing the theme song and one of those hot Chinese directors to do the editing. The Crash of '19 is gonna crush all the records, I tell ya! This one's gonna make people forget about Ishtar! Yeah, yeah, attaboy. Better get on board now 'cuz Shelly Adelson's lookin' to buy a big chunk! Hey, have your girl call my girl... we'll do lunch at Wolfgang's."
He made things worse.

Case in point, my mom announced this morning that she only watches local news; she can't stand that national stuff.

She's a conservative Democrat in New York who started voting Republican with Reagan;opted not to vote in 2016. She's not a MAGA, but she has absolutely no idea what's been going on with that administration other than what might filter down through local news.

The problem is he's trying to play 8-dimensional chess on a 2-dimensional board. To everyone else it just looks like tossing the board off the table in a fit of infantile frustration.

No, she's not really.

She remembers the old Republican Party, the party of sound fiscal
management and strong defense, the party of Lincoln. The party of
Trump bears no resemblance and so she's quit. Since Reagan lots of
former conservatives have left the party and dropped out, or in some
cases joined the Democrats.

A true supporter voted for someone to shake things up. They applaud
the resulting chaos caused by Trump and they'll vote for him again in
2020 for more of the same.
