Oh Nos! Avril Lavigne was Replaced with an Actress

Quote:
Investigating the Conspiracy That Says Avril Lavigne Was Killed off and Replaced with an Actress

The Avril Lavigne behind the abhorrent slumber-party hit “Hello Kitty” is not the same Avril Lavigne behind “SK8R Boi,” “Complicated,” or even “Mobile”—a single released only in Australia and New Zealand and part of the soundtrack to the equally dire hollywood blockbuster Wimbledon. Because, dear readers, the Avril Lavigne behind “SK8R Boi” is dead and was replaced with an actress shortly after the release of her seminal debut album Let Go.

Lots of evidence.

I'll leave it to the experts here to disabuse me.

When Avril Lavigne released the video for the hyper-kawaii trainwreck of a track “Hello Kitty” two years ago, fans were confused. Aside from the claims of cultural appropriation—Billboard were just one of many publications to assert that the track squeezed “Gwen Stefani's Japan fetishization into an even more unseemly package”—the track introduced a markedly different Lavigne to the character her fans had come to know.
Were the Japanese upset though?

Odd as it may seem, this event escaped my attention at the time. Seems there are many Japanese groups that do "Japan fetishization" too, but I guess that's allowed.

Please try to keep up. All the Beatles died in 1964 and were replaced by fake Beatles.

Why is there so much foolish conspiracy talk on the internet about pop music stars?

I mean, who cares? I think if I was making a music video I'd deliberately put illuminati symbols in it just to yank their chain. Get them to yammer about that, it's free publicity.

I proposed we turn Bryan Adams into sixty foot tall robot eh but they said that would be a "waste of valuable Canadian resources." Then they went and did this for some inexplicable reason.

Do we really need such a complicated reason to explain why one single credited to
Scott Spock, Lauren Christy, Graham Edwards and a teenage Avril Lavigne is different musically from a filler track written by Chad Kroeger, David Hodges, Martin Johnson and a nearly 29 year old Avril Lavigne.

Can an artist really not be involved in more than one genre? Do we need to be looking for the Clint Eastwood body double responsible for Bridges of Madison County?

It all seems perfectly reasonable to me. After all, how is the music industry ever supposed to make any money from a dead celebrity?

I could not find a decent, current list via Google of top royalty payments for the dead and gone to the Great Studio in the Sky but:

Quote:
Raking in an impressive $145 million in 2012, Michael Jackson tops Forbes' new list of the top-earning dead musicians, which also includes Elvis Presley, Bob Marley, John Lennon, George Harrison and the Broadway composer Richard Rodgers.

The six names on the list all earned more than $5 million from October 2011 to October 2012, . . .

Well Tupac keeps releasing singles even though he's been quite dead for two decades now.

Is this about some conspiracy to secretly replace pop recording stars with singers?
