Happy Fat Cat Friday to the UK

Quote:
Labeled "Fat Cat Friday", January the 4th has been identified as the date by which the average CEO of a blue-chip British firm company collects the same annual take-home pay of a typical full-time worker in the U.K.

Certainly an industrious lot. Let's find out what makes them so productive and we can all have 11 months of paid vacation.

If you like, you can read this pile of bilge defending it:

Then, if you like, you can watch this interview with the boss of Persimmon who, when asked about his 75M bonus becomes extremely embarrassed. Which is very odd, if he firmly believes that's what he's worth.

I believe his Persimmon have now asked him to resign.

The comments below are much better than the blog itself.

Sycophancy is how economics gets funding. That probably explains a lot about why the western economies have deceloped the way they did in the last half century.

The ratio between CEO and worker is not as bad in the UK as I though;

https://www.statista.com/statistics/...ld-by-country/

The UK is 9th in this list, which is topped by the USA. An American CEO gets $354 for every $1 a worker gets, compared to $84 for a UK CEO. Lowest was Poland with $28.
